I just started this journey to learning how to trade the forex market and I've been documenting every step of way on my TG Channel. My goal for this week is to be able to identify any candle stick pattern anytime I look at the chart. Here are the candle stick patterns I've learnt so far this week..👇🏽 Candle sticks patterns 1.Engulfing Bar candlestick: as the name states it is formed when a candle fully Engulfs the previous candle. • Bullish Engulfing bar • Bearish Engulfing bar. 2.Doji candlestick pattern Doji is one of the most important Japanese candle stick patterns, when this candlestick is formed, it tells that the market opens and closes at the same price which means that there is equality and indecision between buyers and sellers, no one is in control of the market. • Dragonfly Doji (Bullish) • Gravestone Doji (Bearish) 3.The morning star This patterns is considered as a bullish reversal pattern, it often occur at the bottom of a downtrend and it consists of 3 candle stick. • The first is a bearish candle • The second is a small bearish candle • The third one is a bullish candle. 4.The Evening Star The Evening is considered a bearish reversal pattern, its the opposite of the morning star. Consists of 3 candlestick • First candle is a bullish candle • Second is a small candle(bullish or bearish) • Third is a big bearish candle. 5.The Hammer(Pin bar) The hammer is created when the open high and close are roughly the same price, it is also characterized by a long shadow that indicates a bullish rejection frok buyers and their intention to push the market higher. It is reversal candlestick pattern when it occurs at the bottom of a downtrend. 6.The shooting star(Bearish pin bar) The shooting star is formed when the open low and close are roughly the same price, this candle is characterized by a small body and a long upper shadow(wick). It is the bearish version of the hammer. This candle interprets that buyers try tp push the market higher, but they got rejected by a selling pressure. 7.The Harami pattern (Inside bar) Consists of two candles, the first candle Is called the mother candle, followed by a smaller which is called the baby. It can be in two ways(bearish and bullish harami) The harami pattern(pregnant in japanese) tells us that the market is in an indecision phase. (Consolidating) Buyers and sellers are not in control, whne this pattern happens during an uptrend or a downtrend, it is interpreted as a continuation pattern which gives opportunity to join the trend, and if it occurs at the end of an uprend or the bottom of a downtrend, it is considered a trend reversal signal. 8.The tweezers Top and bottoms The tweezers top formation us considered as a bearish reversal pattern when it's seen at the top of an uptrend and the tweezers bottom formation is interpreted as a bullish reversal pattern when its seen at bottom of a downtrend. It is important to understand how to interpret candlesticks, learning candlestick is like learning a new language entirely, and each candle stick have a story/psychology behind it, but this knowledge isn't enough to trade the financial market, they have to be conbined with other technical analysis tools for better entry and exit in the market.
