He currently leads Stephen Bunting in seasonal averages and checkout percentage, and Bunting has underperformed for most of this Premier League campaign.
Van Veen averaged well over 100 in both matches last week, and I expect him to get the better of Bunting tonight.
That would likely set up a semi-final against home boy Luke Humphries.
However, home advantage has meant very little in recent weeks (Van Veen has already proven that), and with Humphries inconsistent and struggling throughout this season, I fancy the talented young Dutchman to reach the final.

Onto the other Dutchman, @MvG180
I’ve largely avoided him this Premier League season due to his erratic form, he can win with a 107 average one night and lose with an 80 the next.
That said, in an 8-man field his price is simply too big to ignore. I had a small nibble at 20.0, but 17.0 (available on the exchanges) is excellent value.
He faces the tougher half @LukeTheNuke180 in the quarter-final, then likely the winner of Clayton vs Price.
I’ve got a strong gut feeling that if he can get past Littler, he’ll go all the way to the final.
It’s speculative, but at that price it’s great value.
