I think Warrick Gelant is basically the JP Duminy of rugby. Had one good game a decade ago and stays in the side until retirement.

Cobus Reinach the closest we have to Antoine duPont. Their styles are quite similar. Reinach doesn't mainly pass directly from scrum, but picks and runs and passes to players running onto it. Very effective method. Maybe that's why Rassie likes him so much.

I’ve spent over 1000 hours writing my first book now. The fact you can buy one for 20 bucks is a miracle. Someone works incredibly hard to distil everything they know into a 5-6 hour read.

Stay positive on South Africa. The country is moving in the right direction. The ANC is in deep trouble, both at home and abroad. Internationally, the Trump administration has been confronting and weakening several of the ANC’s long‑standing allies, from Venezuela and Iran to China and Russia. The removal of the Iranian regime will be a plus for South Africa. Domestically, the ANC’s support has been declining and will continue doing so. Helen Zille becoming Johannesburg mayor will be a significant setback for the party. So remain optimistic. Yes it’s slow, but be patient — we are in the right direction. #economy #markets #politics
