Am I the only one who doesnโt like ranking the #Scream franchise? I feel like these films function with such different purposes, how can you accurately cross-compare?

Currently rewatching Scream VI. I said this when the movie came out, but this shrine sequence just doesnโt hit the same without Sidney. The impact it would have had on her wouldโve been insane. Aside from Gale, nobody in that room really understood what they were seeing fully.

I get thatโฆ but it still doesnโt mean my point isnโt valid? It would have had a way bigger impact if Sidney had seen it over most in that room. Her witnessing the literal clothes her best friend, ex-boyfriend, former friend in school & even the prop her other ex boyfriend died attached to, would have been incredible to see on screen.

@BeyondTheMask8 This shrine is the legacy itself, and every person in the room has been part of it in some way or another; as a victim, survivor, as a family member of a victim, as daughters of a ghostface. Scream VI stated that this is beyond Sidney. Kirby said it, theyโre family now.

If Scream 8 is looking for a new director, I honestly think Christopher Landon should be given a shot at taking the helm. As someone who is a huge fan of Scream & the horror genre itself, I honestly think heโd deliver a fantastic movie. @ScreamMovies @creetureshow

Sidney hasnโt always interacted with every single character in a Scream movie. She didnโt interact with barely any of the Stab cast in Scream 3. People like Jennifer were big characters and she never acknowledged her. I think the idea of 7 was that Sidney was so focused on protecting Tatum and making sure her family were safe that everybody else got pushed aside in her thought process. The fact that she let Chad & Mindy stay at hers proves she did acknowledge them; Tatum did; mark did. Itโs just Sidney was focused on ending these killers before they got to Tatum.

Some ppl are missing the intent here. Itโs not about whether she knows them. Itโs the disconnect created by never showing us. Itโs empty calories in writing form. In Scream 2, Sidney interacts with/acknowledges EVERY supporting character. It all feels essential and cohesive.
