BFES Honour Guard

Yesterday we had the honour to usher in the exec.director of the knight’s table & now proud recipient of the Key to the City Annie Bynoe.This award is one of the highest honours a municipality can present.The city recognizes Bynoe for her leadership & compassion. Congratulations.

It was another great turnout at Brampton City Hall for our annual New Years Levee. It was fantastic connecting with residents and reflecting on the progress we made in 2025 and the exciting times ahead for 2026. Thank you, to all those who came out and a special thanks to NHL Alumni Cody Hodgson, PWHL Toronto Sceptres Maggie Connors and Olympic Gold Medalist Renata Fast.

Today our guard was honoured to join along with city councillors & the citizens of @CityBrampton for the @patrickbrownont New Year's Levee. We welcome 2026 & were proud to take part in Bramptons celebrations! 🎉

On Dec 5 our guard saluted the career of Deputy Chief Dan Rowland of Caledon Fire. He served 29th with @BramptonFireES retiring as PC. We wish him all the best in his retirement. 🫡

Yesterday our guard welcomed in our newest 29 firefighters & 3 fire prevention officer’s at their graduation. We are excited and proud of them as they enter their new career. Best of luck to all of them.

Today at the Remembrance Day ceremony we salute &Honour those soldiers that fought for us &gave us the freedom we appreciate today. We Remember them each Nov 11 so we never forget their sacrifices.We Support those still living & their families that lost so much.#Lestweforget

Yesterday our guard was able to attend & salute our brother, retired DC Neil Flear on his 90th Birthday 🎂!!! It’s always great to get out to celebrate happy times & remember those that laid the path we follow today.

Today our guard & some of our new recruits were honored to take part at the Ont.Firefighters Memorial. We stood with many to honour Ontario's LODD fallen firefighters who will be remembered for their bravery, heroism & sacrifice while protecting lives & property. @opffa #lodd

This weekend our guard traveled to Colorado Springs for the annual IAFF memorial.This year we added 1 name of our fallen to the wall. FF Michael Foley.100’s of names were added & honoured by hg, pipes & drums & flag/axe parties. We will never forget them.

Yesterday our guard was able to attend both celebration of life & funeral service for our retired DC Bruce Wanless. We will always be the there to support the family & honour their service. Rest easy brother. Nov. 21,1938 - Sept 1 2025 #tradition #duty

On July 27th we proudly attended the anniversary of the Korean War armistice. We support & salute all those that served and fought for our freedom, along with those still serving. Lest we forget!

Today our guard attended The Ont. Fire Fighters’ Memorial at the former site of the Gravenhurst Campus of the Ont. Fire College. As part of the formal decommissioning of the Campus, the memorial is being relocated to the town of Orangeville in honour of the late Dan Little.

Today we said goodbye & wished our Fire Chief Nick Ruller good luck in his new journey & career. His leadership, passion & professionalism will be missed. We wish him & his family well & salute his success & future. 🫡

Royal Canadian Legion branches across the country hold Decoration Day on the 1st Sunday in June to remember those who fought in battles that occurred before the First World War. Yesterday it was an honour to support & march alongside Legion 15 & our veterans. #LestWeForget

It was with heavy hearts on May 3 we attended the LODD funeral for Cambridge Firefighter & Canadian armed forces member Brayden McCleary. Our deepest condolences go out to his family & all who worked & knew him. He will never be forgotten.

May 2 it was an honour to support the @ONFireChiefs Memorial Service at the conference. Annually the event honours the chief officers who have passed away since the last conference.The service included Niagara Falls HG, Ont. Fire Pipes & Drums and Harbourtown Sound choir.

Annually April 28 is the National Day of Mourning for workers who are killed or injured on the job. Today & every day, we remember & honour them. @CityBrampton @regionofpeel #DayOfMourning

Our Guard marched in honour today of Vimy Ridge.This day commemorates the deaths & casualties of members of the Canadian Corps in the Battle of Vimy Ridge,which took place during WW1.The holiday has been observed annually on April 9. #sacrifice #lestweforget #duty #tradition
