Last month, MMQBC members toured the new 50-bed Pediatric ICU at Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children at @ChildrensAL. We’re proud to have provided financial aid to help make this project possible and support COA’s mission of delivering exceptional pediatric care.

Today is National Rare Disease Day. More than 300 million people worldwide — including 1 in 10 Americans — live with a rare disease. Libby’s Friends helps ease the financial burden of disability, and MMQBC is grateful to partner with such a selfless organization.

Last week, we hosted our 2026 Impact Luncheon—celebrating the $2.75 million the Quarterbacking Children’s Health Foundation donated to 36 local nonprofits. We also had the privilege to hear from Lauren Sisler, whose story of courage and resilience resonated with us all.

Today we're spotlighting HudsonAlpha and the Smith Family Clinic for Genomic Medicine. Through genetic counseling, diagnoses, and proactive screenings, they use genomics to improve lives—and the MMQBC is proud to support a healthier future for Alabama's children.

On Wednesday, we shared the impact of this year’s campaign: a record $2.75 million in grants to 36 nonprofits. These funds support programs that improve care, expand access, and strengthen outcomes for children across our community. Thank you for investing in kids’ health.

After months of planning, site visits, and grant review, we're excited to recognize the beneficiaries of our 2025 fundraising campaign at tomorrow's Impact Luncheon. With 40+ grant requests each year, we proudly fund programs changing the game for children's health.

Just before Alabama and Auburn tipped off Saturday, MMQBC members presented Kerry Goode with his 2024 Pat Sullivan Impact Award. Fellow honoree Gary Godfrey and newest recipient Alex McPherson joined him. The MMQBC is proud to recognize these men and their lasting impact.

Super Bowl Sunday reminds us that great things happen when teamwork, preparation, and heart come together. We’re proud to carry those same values into our work for children’s health. Enjoy the game.

Today is World Cancer Day. The MMQBC is grateful for partners like Smile-A-Mile, which has, since 1985, provided hope, spiritual healing, and love to families facing childhood cancer. Today and always, we proudly stand with those putting children first.

Who else is ready for warmer weather? Reminiscing this morning over the 2025 Zipp Newman Cup at the Country Club of Birmingham. Our members can't wait to hit the links again this fall for the 2026 Cup!
