I’m starting to hate myself for defending a small team like RCB against giants like Mumbai and Chennai just because I was a Kohli fan and he plays for them.
After yesterday, it feels like the biggest mistake of my life. These so-called RCB fans seem to support the franchise more than the man they actually think Virat Kohli was made by RCB.
They need to realize that if RCB has any identity or existence at all, it’s solely because of Kohli.

19 years of watching Kohli play in the IPL and international cricket, and he hasn't changed one bit. He still celebrates every wicket of the opposition, and the same people enjoy it when he does it for India, but will cry every year in IPL when he does it vs their fav. team.
The same discourse happens at least 2-3 times in IPL, where people are shocked by how he can celebrate a wicket of a youngster or his own teammate of India when they are playing against him in IPL, and will label him as arrogant and a player with attitude. All of this, when He has consistently performed for both India and RCB. Now imagine what would've happened if he wasn't.
It's actually a mindset thing of most Indians who just cannot accept a passionate sportsperson like this who is in your face. Their comeback is, but what about previous generation players? They were so humble and respectful, which is funny because as if that was a set rule, and we can't have different individuals with distinct personalities.
I'm so glad that all this outside noise has never affected Virat even once in his entire career, irrespective of his batting form. It's not a performative thing that he does his aggressive celebration only when he is scoring runs. It's the same every time he steps on the field for his opposition team, but he will equally respect them once the game is done. He hasn't changed one bit because he already knows and even said in an interview that people are always going to talk about something or the other about him, and he can't change that. As long as he is playing this game, he will do what he likes and enjoys without thinking about others.

I travelled through Great Nicobar today. These are the most extraordinary forests I have ever seen in my life. Trees older than memory. Forests that took generations to grow. The people on this island are equally beautiful - both the adivasi communities and the settlers - but they are being robbed of what is rightfully theirs. The government calls what it is doing here a “Project.” What I have seen is not a project. It is millions of trees marked for the axe. It is 160 square kilometres of rainforest condemned to die. It is communities that have been ignored while their homes have been snatched away. This is not development. This is destruction dressed in development’s language. So I will say it plainly, and I will keep saying it: what is being done in Great Nicobar is one of the biggest scams and gravest crimes against this country’s natural and tribal heritage in our lifetime. It must be stopped. And it can be stopped - if Indians choose to see what I have seen.
