The Chargers end up taking someone who’s never played guard in Jake Slaughter, and announce him as a guard.
Skipped on Emmanuel Pregnon and Gennings Dunker to take an unproven player at guard, but a highly regarded center. Don’t love it but definitely was a Mike McDaniel pick.

@danielrpopper Cool. Instead of a “contributor”, had a Day 1 starting G at 86 in Pregnon—consensus top 40-55, better than Strange/Penning or Slaughter, rookie C who’s never played G. Hortiz crushes Day 3. But Mesidor is a win-now pick in Herb’s prime = take a starting G > converted C or backups
