@GaijinGoombah @NornQueenKya Ill still get him. I was running speed freaks already anyway. Plus i have cool plans for some esthetic kitbashing on his model. Like a nice wee space marine getting punched in the face by his front tyre.

Sex is feminized labour. Yes, all heterosexual sex is labour for women. And, like all feminized labour, it is devalued to the point of being seen as worthless in spite of the demand for and expectation of it. Sex workers, being hyper-feminized sexual labourers, are even further devalued. In a patriarchal society, men expect the existence and labour of sex workers to sustain their way of life, to satisfy their sexual desires and libidos where “real women” can’t or shouldn’t, while refusing to compensate them for their labour, because the sex worker does sex work, in their minds, as a flawed part of their nature, an irresistible impulse carried out by some kind of whore gene or traumatic childhood event that transforms us into whores. Men are sustained off of the labour of their wives, who cook and clean and raise their children, and off whores, who satisfy their sexual desires because their wives are either too exhausted, too fed up, too disgusted, or are perceived by the man as being “too good” to be the receptacle of his sexual desires. There is, of course, a lot of grand-standing and emphatic masculine performance, where men declare they would NEVER pay a sex worker in order to reaffirm their perception of their manhood in their own eyes and in the eyes of their peers. It is true, that most men do whatever they can to avoid paying sex workers. It is also true that, all of them, eventually, will begrudgingly part way with their money in order to access a sex worker’s labour. They will inevitably come across a paywall they cannot bypass for a service or work they feel they desperately need to sustain themselves, and they will pay the sex worker for access, because without the sex worker, the man’s world falls apart. He, of course, will keep this a secret, and even ramp up his hateful rhetoric against sex workers, in order to disguise his bruised masculine ego.

@J3ssicaStarling @VVowzerz Why is it so hard to see the individual? Why must there be this fictional gender divide? Men and women all suffer for labour. We suffer in different ways individually and we all receive energy and happiness from different sources.

No, because of the gendered division of labour, and the woman class as labourer. Your mistake is thinking of “men” and “women” as individuals, rather than gendered labour classes. The function of the gendered classes is to create nuclear family units, under which the woman labours through cooking/home making/child-rearing/fucking her husband. Sex is labour for the housewife in the same way it is labour for the sex worker

@SimonGrimmitt @Aku_700 Yeah because "masculinity has done men so well over the years. Never mind the male suicide rates world wide and the fact that being sensitive or even showing a single emotion is looked at with disapproval.

I've always loved Despark as a removal spell in Commander, but lately it has been rotting in my hand. Is the format really that fast? What is happening?

On my way to Wizards HQ to discuss commander with the rest of the commander format panel. What do you think is the most pressing issue facing our format right now?
