3 losses this morning but only amounting to -0.6% on paper.
This is why I stress how important it is to know when to “stop.”
Once I meet my weekly profit objective on my personal account, I switch to a paper account for the remainder of the week.
Even though I had a red day today, I still improved as a trader by gaining experience. My week is still green on my personal account and there’s no stress or impulse to keep trading or make “more.” No desire to “push my edge.”
Half the requirement of being a profitable trader is the skillset itself, the other half is knowing when to be “content.”
Back better tomorrow!

@_amtrades Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Which is why slow is fast.
English

moving slowly is the fastest way to get what you want in trading
feeling mentally drained? get off the charts
unsure of the bias? wait until the next day
getting emotional? reduce your risk
conflicted on a trade? let it pass
as you're learning,
you have one responsibility
stay in the game long enough to see your potential
long enough to learn the charts
long enough to build experience
long enough to resolve mistakes
long enough to refine your system
long enough to submit to the process
most don't even give themselves this opportunity
it's not that traders fail at trading itself,
they fail to keep themselves in it before figuring it out
slowly is the fastest route to consistency,
because anything is faster than never getting there
attempting shortcuts and forcing results is what guarantees failure
never lose sight of that,
and actually give yourself the chance to make it
