@BigBlueCenter18 @DDuggan21 Carbon copies? Please point to the season where Slayton has ever had 1000 yards. I'd then ask you to find a season where he even had 800 yards receiving. Maybe you and I have vastly different definitions of carbon copy.

Finally got Giants WR Darnell Mooney's contract details, per source: 1 year, $3M fully guaranteed.
It's been reported that he can earn up to $7M in incentives, but don't have those details yet. Fascinated to see how those are structured because I've never seen a contract where a player can more than triple the value in incentives.
Another player where it's stunning how weak his market was. He got a three-year, $39M contract with $26M guaranteed two years ago. He's only 28 and had 96 catches for 1,435 yards in two seasons in Atlanta.

@easport75 Mooney has a played 6 years and 66% of the years he hasn’t hit 650 yards. 50% of the time he hasn’t hit 500. So back to what I originally said, this fan base is expecting a guy who struggles to get to 500 yards as a legit WR2. What was wrong about what I said?

@BigBlueCenter18 You are just looking at stats. Stats can be fun but not the end all be all. Seen lots of players benefit from being on a new team, in a new system. Hey if he turns out to be Slayton i am cool with that. Just so tired of Slayton. Also expect Giants to select WR in mid rounds

Giants fans are really expecting a guy who couldn’t hit 500 yards receiving in three of the last four seasons to come in and be a legit WR2. 😂

@easport75 Stats tell the story of production. Which shows tha Slayton is better. You wer originally using stats to back that mooeney was good. So don’t say now “you can’t look at stats”. You don’t just like stats because it doesn’t help your point. But keep hyping up mediocrity. 😂

@easport75 It has nothing to do with being fed up with a player or not. I didn’t say Slayton was good. My point is, if you think Slayton is dog water, then Mooney is a carbon copy. But again, it’s about being fed up or not. Based off production that are the exact same player.

@BigBlueCenter18 You are making it a Mooney vs Slayton thing. Frankly, if you follow the Giants closely i am surprised you are not fed up with Slayton by now. I know i am. Not saying Mooney a stud but it'll be nice having other options like Likely and Mooney to rely on

@easport75 No I’m not. I’m looking at all stats. YPC, YAC per catch drop, the only thing Mooney really beats Slayton is, is more targets an less drops. Actually look into it the all the numbers. But hey, you can believe he is some sud if you want. Lol

@BigBlueCenter18 Yeah but all you are looking at is catches and receiving yds. Not considering changing coaches or teams, different QBs etc. He's still young, fast and twice had very good seasons. Look forward to seeing him in blue

@jerzguyindenver @DDuggan21 How is anything manipulated? Everything I said was true. Look at the numbers yourself. They both have drop issues, and most years, Slayton has put up better numbers than Mooney. Also, where did I say Slayton was better? I think they are carbon copies of each other.

The Giants reportedly tried to trade for a veteran linebacker during the early start of free agency. From @JordanRaanan on his Breaking Blue podcast: "The Giants definitely did try to trade for a linebacker, I heard. And the story I heard was that said linebacker didn’t really want to go, and the trade kind of broke apart. It’s a guy that’s getting towards the end of his career, and it just didn’t work out." While the identity of the player wasn’t revealed, given the trade rumors that were circulating on social media around the time of the start of free agency, the veteran linebacker sure sounds like it was 49ers linebacker Fred Warner. Warner, who is considered one of the best middle linebackers in the sport, is 29 years old and coming off a season-ending ankle injury. The Giants ended up signing Tremaine Edmunds to a 3-year deal; Edmunds was initially put on the trade block by the Bears before he was released. The Giants are also thought of to potentially draft a linebacker early on in the 2026 NFL Draft; Ohio State’s Sonny Styles has been frequently mentioned for the Giants in mock drafts.

@clt_ny U guys do realize that all the top teams r built through the draft & not spending 100 of millions a year in free agency. The pats also weren’t even that good, they had the easiest schedule, then beat the Chargers with no OL, Texans were just a bad offense, then Denver with no qb

@JzperK @BigBlueProps @Giants_muse Chiefs last year had one guy over 800, Kelce. There next highest was Brown at 587. From 22-25 Chiefs twice had two guys over 800, kelce/Juju and Kecle/Rice. Next closest each was was 687 and 460. In ‘16 Kelce hit 800 and in ‘17 Kelce/Hill hit. Again what do you expect?

They are lucky to have one guy hit 800 yards let alone 2 guys. Same with Nagy in CHI. Not sure what you expect.
