Kentucky (7) v Santa Clara. (10) What do we know? Scouting Santa Clara: (26-8) 👇🏻 (Rotation) 6’0: Knapper. 7.7p, 1.8r, 2.3a. 39/28/79 6’4: Hammond. 15.8p, 3r, 2.4a. 49/40/79 6’9: Ensminger. 6.3p, 5.5r, 2.9a. 54/39/64 6’8: Mahi. 13.9p, 4.7r, 2.6a, 1.4s. 45/34/71 7’1: Oboye. 8.1p, 4.2r, 0.6a, 1.2b. 66/25/66 6’9: Graves. 11.6p, 6.5r, 1.8a, 2s. 52/42/74 6’3: Gavalyugov. 8.8p, 1.7r, 2.6a. 40/36/72 6’8: Darlan. 6.3p, 3.6r, 0.9a. 39/34/89 + Top 30 in Off Rebs. (13.1) + Top 30 in Forced TO’s. (14.1) + Top 30 in 3PM/3PA’s. (10.1 | 29.2) + Top 40 in PPG. (82.9) + Top 70 in Eff FG%. (54.6%) - 332nd in FTM. (12) - 344th in FTA. (16.4) - 309th in Def Rebs. (22.6) - 231st in Def FG%. (45.1%) - 120th in Def 3P%. (32.7%) • SG Christian Hammond. 6’4 195. Leading scorer, 10+ Points in 27/33 Games. Can play on/off ball, SC will run a ton of ball screens/DHO’s for him, not a high volume 3P shooter but at 40% can’t go under screens, be aware of his mid range ability he loves to get FT-Line/in and use his footwork to score/make plays. Might be smart to hedge depending on screener. • F/C Allen Graves. 6’9 225. Probably the biggest MM riser for the NBA Draft this yr. Extremely versatile PF. Elite on/off ball defender. plays extremely smart on Off. they play him a lot at C, really spreads the floor with lots of spacing. High IQ Passer, makes high level reads in a spaced floor, he also shoots the ball very well, (42%) on 2.6 3PA. High impact player, Could be a tough matchup for UK. • PF Elijah Mahi. 6’7 220. Another very versatile PF who thrives inside/out. 3rd most 3PM for SC (51 at 34%) shoots really well when his feet are set. Can go off the dribble from the wing, and take advantage of smaller players in the post. Good footwork/skill, he can be an issue for UK in different ways from the 3/4 spot. • CG Sash Gavalyugov. 6’3 175. Volume shooter. 176/272 FG’s are 3PA’s. (63 3PM, 36%) really skilled CG. Hasn’t been a high scoring threat consistently, but plays well in his role as a volume shooter. UK has to prepare for him not only as a 3P shooter, but he can create alot of scoring opportunities with the ball in his hands, for himself/his teammates. • C Bukky Oboye. 7’1 220. Something you don’t see very often at the MM Level. Legit 7’1 C who moves extremely well on off/def. Elite screener, lob threat, Don’t discount his range from 3. I like the patience he shows in the post with the ball. good passer, can go over either shoulder to finish. Elite rim protector, does an okay job when needing to hedge/switch/return. Doesn’t play a ton of min, (17mpg) but he’ll show his impact. • SC is a unique team. Not elite, but when they get going at their best they’re spreading you out, hitting 3s, Off Reb the misses, forcing TO’s. 8 guys have 85+ 3s, 5 guys have 112+. SC is 23rd in 3PA, (29.2). 29th in 3PM. (10.1) they Off Reb at an elite level, but are among the worst Def Reb. Solid Off Team inside/out, but not great getting/converting FT’s. 12/16.4 a game, ranks 332nd/344th. • If UK avoids live ball TO’s, guard the 3 at a high level, keep SC Off the off glass, they give themselves a great chance of winning, but you cannot discount this SC team and their ability to win this game. they thrive where UK has struggled some the most this season. They have legitimate positional size, good talent, an high execution both sides of the court. SC will press on nearly every made basket. • Could see Mo/BG being in majority of this 1 given how SC plays, they foul quite often, UK will HAVE to hit their FT’s. Oweh will have some size on him, getting downhill, attacking the rim ESPECIALLY when Oboye is on the bench is very important for UK. Chandler needs to be more than just a 3P Shooter, need to find some volume but his Def on shooters will be paramount. Zel just needs to continue to take care of the ball and make the plays he has as PG1. Take your shots as they come to you. Getting paint touches from the bigs will be a key for UK. #BBN #KentuckyBasketball

Onto the next in the Potential Transfer Portal Players I’d like to see Kentucky contact. (#4) G/F Tounde Yessoufou. 6’5 215. • 18.0p. • 5.8r. • 1.6a. • 2.1s. • 47/32/75. (52 3PM) • 32.3mpg. Being transparent, I wouldn’t have had Tounde on here at all throughout the season, he seemed to be Draft Bound and a lottery pick, however he’s been slipping on boards recently, I mean as far as mid 2nd round. Now obviously that doesn’t mean everything, workouts will also change things, but if he stays around that range, just wonder if he’d consider that return to college, and go next year in a significantly weaker draft class. I probably don’t have to tell you much about Tounde you don’t already know, elite motor, elite athleticism, the 3P shooting consistency, and shot selection are definitely areas he needs to improve on, but he’s still shown flashes of being serviceable there, nothing wrong with his shooting mechanics. His ability to get downhill is up there with anyone, you’ll probably notice some Otega Oweh similarities watching his tape, but if he does return and enter the portal, Kentucky HAS to make him a priority. Don’t make the same mistake you made last year passing on him! #BBN #KentuckyBasketball

San Jose State PG Colby Garland is a name I think P4 Coaches should really look into if he enters the Transfer Portal. • 20.3p. • 3.3r. • 4.6a. • 49/37/85. In a year where we’ve seen elite mid major PG’s, Colby is at the top of the list imo. He has an extremely high IQ, high level playmaker who makes elite reads out of the PnR. His ability to manipulate the defense, keep guys on his hip, keep a strong dribble and then make the right play based off the defense’s reaction is as best I’ve seen as the mid major level. What he showed even more of this season is an ability to score the ball at all 3 levels. He’s not a high volume 3P shooter, but 37% and his shot selection is fine, his mid range game is even better, again using his ball-handling, his ability to create space is elite, and once he gets to his mid range spot with that space it’s almost always going in. He can also get downhill and finish at the rim through contact, going back to his manipulation of the defense, he does a great job of getting bigs out of position an making finishes at the rim even easier for him an teammates. Coaches make sure you Keep an Eye on Colby Garland. @COLBYGARLAND1

Coming up Next in the Potential Transfer Portal Recruits I’d like to see Kentucky contact, one of my personal favorites (#3) PF Donnie Freeman. SO. 6’10 225. • 17.0p. • 7.4r. • 1.3a. • 1.2b. • 48/31/77. • 31.1mpg. Donnie is undeniably talented, and despite his numbers, I still think he wasn’t used correctly in his time at Syracuse. Another guy who’s definitely got NBA Talent, I’m not sure Donnie has kept himself on Draft Boards like the first 2 guys we’ve mentioned, but he did miss 10 games this season, so another year in an offense like Mark Popes seems logical to me as a next step in strengthening his Draft Status again. Extremely versatile, can play the 4/5, moves like a wing, and can stretch the floor with his shooting ability. He’s a great passing big man who reads the defense really well, especially as a guy dealing with consistent double teams in the post, he makes the right plays, and I think he’d be perfect to initiate the offense and be a big contributor next to Malachi Moreno. #BBN #KentuckyBasketball #Portal

Next up with Potential Transfer Portal Recruits id like to see Kentucky contact. (#2) PG Ebuka Okorie. FR. 6’2 185. • 23.1p. • 3.7r. • 3.6a • 1.6s. • 46/36/83. (61 3PM) PG1! Ebuka is very special, admittedly has played himself onto Draft Boards, right in the 28+ range, but that also makes me think he could return to college, enter the portal, if he does he becomes a must get. His scoring ability at PG is incredible, he can shoot at a high level, he gets downhill with either hand, an finishes through contact with the best of them. What stands out even more is his IQ, his pace of play, and ability to find spaces in the defense and exploit them. Showed signs of being a high level playmaker as well, he Doesn’t turn the ball over much, esp for a FR in the ACC. Excellent Defender, Hes a really special player who would be at the very top of the portal. #BBN #KentuckyBasketball #Portal

Martin County JR PG Braxton Keathley has wrapped up another elite season of Kentucky HS basketball. (@BraxKeathley) The 2027 4⭐️ has become a nationally known name this year, now being ranked in the top 150, 90, and 40 on 3 separate national rankings. • 33.6p. (2nd in KY) (1st total Pts, 1,060) • 9r. • 4.9a. • 18 Dbl/Dbl’s. 2 Trp/Dbl’s. • 57/47/85. • 113 3PM. (top 5 in KY) Braxton was the only player in Kentucky who finished top 10 in 5 different KHSAA categories. He was also the only player in the state of Kentucky to finish with shooting splits above 55/45/85. High Majors are now consistently involved in his recruitment, including both Kentucky and Louisville. Braxton has a huge AAU season coming up with @2026Ambition and I look for him to continue to rise in the rankings. A very special player. @NextUpRecruits @NextNat1on @mosesk225 @JosephDecker23 @GradyMajors @JamieShaw5 @PaulBiancardi @madehoops

Brycen Blaine had a huge game earlier this season for Charleston Southern. • 41p • 8r • 11a • 2s • 1b • 8/13 3P Blaine has been a volume 3p shooter, but still effecting the game in all other areas as well, at 6’5 205, you get a lot of versatility from the 2/3 with him. Could be a really sneaky pick up for a P4 team, and be an immediate contributor. • 17.2p • 7.2r • 3.1a • 40/35/78 217/350 FG’s are 3PA. #BBN #KentuckyBasketball
