Gunner Olszewski just went down with a non-contact injury while coming off the line on a route. Immediately showed significant frustration and appeared to grab at his right lower leg. Teammates look upset. Cart coming out quickly.

Sources: Giants fear that WR Gunner Olszewski, who was carted off the practice field today, tore his Achilles. He will undergo additional testing to confirm the injury.

It's a beautiful Friday afternoon, so just going to hit you with some quick notes from today's practice: • First-team OL: LT Marcus Mbow, LG Jon Runyan, C John Michael Schmitz, RG Francis Mauigoa, RT Jermaine Eluemunor. Second-team OL: LT JC Davis, LG Daniel Faalele, C Lucas Patrick, RG Aaron Stinnie, RT Ryan Schernecke. Third-team OL: LT JC Davis, LG Jake Kubas, C Bryan Hudson, RT Evan Neal, RT Ryan Scherncke. No live reps for Andrew Thomas or Josh Ezeudu, who was wearing a big brace on his right arm. • Dru Phillips was the first-team nickel corner and had a good day in coverage. Paulson Adebo and Greg Newsome started outside with Deonte Banks rotating in. • The Giants open every practice with a specific game situation. Today the offense had to manage the clock trailing by four points with 17 seconds left and the ball at the opposing 27-yard line. • The main areas of focus today were under center play-action/runs and the red zone. The defense had its share of sacks (Arvell Reese and Abdul Carter each had one) and there were some instances of confusion with getting lined up, which is to be expected with a new offense. Theo Johnson had a sweet catch on a corner route from Jaxson Dart over Reese in a 7-on-7 period. Johnson almost had another leaping TD catch in the back of the end zone but he couldn't get both feet down.
