6 Pokemon Sets will officially no longer be printed 🧵 In the Spring of 2026, we have a number of Pokemon sets officially going out of Rotation. This means that any Pokemon card classified with a G in the lower left corner are officially no longer being printed. That's it...it's done...Pokemon is moving on. Scarlet & Violet Base, Paldea Evolved, Obsidian Flames, 151, Paradox Rift, and Paldean Fates are officially done and out of print come this Spring. There has been no official announcement yet for when the new classification will arrive but it is estimated to happen this April 2026. This has huge ramifications. For starters 151, arguably the most hyped and best set of the SV Era has been absolutely printed into the ground. Pokemon has tried it's absolute best to print a metric butt ton of it, just like Crown Zenith. But now it officially goes out of rotation and out of print come this Spring. Prices are around $15 a pack and with no expectation of a reprint (for the 100th time) and it going out of rotation. Are we about to see something ridiculous, $20....$25 a pack? Pokemon has soooo many sets they need to reprint. Sets that just relatively released even. Destined Rivals, Black Bolt, White Flare, I mean hell even Mega Evolution Base could use a reprint and that JUST came out in September. So what sets could they even look to reprint before the out of rotation date hits. SV Base and Paradox Rift were printed in abundance, I don't see any reprints coming down the pipeline for these two sets. What about Obsidian Flames, it's possible but I would also think unlikely as Obsidian packs were in almost every collection box and tins for ages. Paldea Evolved? This could really use a reprint...BUT...it was released over 2.5 years ago...crazy to go back that far. The most obvious choice is Paldean Fates for another print run. I don't like using the term short printed as we don't actually know Pokemon's print runs of anything. So who are we to judge what was printed short or not. But it's obvious that Pokemon did NOT print a lot of that set. Demand was at an all time low when it released Jan 2024 and there was hardly any stock of ETB's at distribution at the time. The problem with Paldean Fates is we kind of already got a reprint though in Booster Bundles and a special collection box released to retailers just recently. Soooo...that was it? It will be fascinating to see if Pokemon decides to push out these sets one last time before end of rotation. If they do and price does drop in anyway shape or form for these sets. It will be a fantastic opportunity for sure.
