Almost 1M all time PnL on Hyperliquid. Wanted to go over a few things that helped me extract this much this quarter. First of all, acknowledge the environment. I’ve made 8 figures across different markets over the years and one thing I learned is that most assets you trade have no real substantial value. The game is to compound, extract, exit, rinse and repeat. Second, every market environment has its own playbook. Markets are dynamic and constantly changing through cycles. Very hard to run the same strategy for 1 year straight and expect the same outcome. This is why most people lose. I remember telling a friend back in 2022 that a lot of people who made millions from the Hyperliquid airdrop and meme coins running to billions from nothing would eventually lose it all in chop. And I’d be the one taking it from them. Psychology and greed play a massive role too. I’ve spoken to multiple people that made 8 figures more than once and still lost everything. It almost feels like a cycle everyone goes through. Once you hit a peak net worth, you become obsessed with finding the next trade that gets you back there, and slowly the chop starts draining your stack. I like the poker analogy. Once your chips are gone, you’re out of the game. Same thing here. Be defensive. Protect your stack. Size heavy only on home runs when the conditions are right. Been trading for many years now and I genuinely think mastering these principles will take you far. At the end of the day it’s more you vs you than PvP.
