Nicholas Brendon, who played Xander Harris on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and Kevin Lynch on "Criminal Minds," died in his sleep Friday, according to a statement from his family. He was 54.

Was thinking this morning about how The Nevers🌂 left us with: - Time travel - Alien spores - A war-torn future - A woman from the future in a Victorian body And we were just supposed to move on from that?! Come on. I need a comic continuation today! #TheNevers

@bubblecat That’s a good way to put it-like the pieces were there, but not fully realized. I’ve heard similar takes, and it is sad all around. It feels like everyone involved got shortchanged. Even the story itself.😔I totally get stopping mid-way. It’s a weird mix of sadness and curiosity.

@HBOTheNevers I began them, and then I stopped. It felt like they were placement storyboard holders almost? It just left me feeling sad for everyone, yes including Joss.

Plot twist: I spent years hyping The Nevers.... and I still haven’t watched the last six episodes. 🙊🙈Am I... the villain? 😆The final episodes garnered mixed reactions from critics and fans alike. Should I bother seeking them out? #TheNevers

@HBOTheNevers I had been under the impression there were only six episodes as the second batch of six have never been released in the UK. I would love to see them now that I know they exist! I had been very disappointed that there weren’t more episodes.

@Cosmic_Lad Same here! I’m determined to track down the other episodes. Fingers crossed they show up somewhere soon - I really want to see how it all wraps up! I’ll keep you posted on what I find.

@Dirkblack Yeah, they kind of got buried, especially outside the US. Tubi quietly dropped them in the States, and that was it. smh Still glad to hear you liked them though - it gives me hope!

@HBOTheNevers I had no idea there were another 6 originally. In fact in the uk there isn’t. Anyway, I liked them. They were bought down by Whedon.

@temporaryblank9 I ran into the same thing -the files were cursed or something😅I gotta admit, I did watch episode 7 (also pirated), but the quality was so rough that it hurt the experience. Really killed my momentum, so I never hunted down the rest. Hoping for a proper release someday.

@HBOTheNevers I've been postponing it until they become available in a decent quality. I've pirated the episodes from different sources and they all seem... damaged.

@CreekFanatic88 ‘cut off at the knees’ is exactly it. I think part of why I held off was because I knew the new writing wouldn’t match the magic of those first six episodes. And deep down, I just didn’t want the it to end. But you’re right- it’s time to finish it properly.Thanks for the nudge 💜

@HBOTheNevers you should I’ve seen the final six episodes only one time. But when you feel the need to, you should see the final six to complete your journey. to this day I think about this great show often. So much potential that got cut off at the knees before it could begin

@ASm1thee That’s what I keep hearing-some real gems, but no closure. 😩 I feel like watching them will just reopen the wound. But also, curiosity is killing me.
