@Ayoelesho This is not even a lie. Women too are getting desensitized from marriage. I for instance, have struck marriage off. Apart from the fact I get coconut, submission is a no no,I've always said that except I'm marrying a rich man, marriage is of no use to me. I'll probably try it at

It's time to accept the reality that many Nigerian women will never find a man to marry them not because they're bad but because of the three following reasons: One, over the years, men have been disenamoured with the concept of marriage. They have discovered that there's nothing you can get in a marriage that you cannot get outside of marriage. So, many men would rather have baby mamas than commit the rest of their lives to one woman. Two, most of the men willing to get married do not have the financial capacity to do so, due to the sorry state of the Nigerian economy. And instead of the women they're dating to join finances together, plan with them and build a family from a small place, they expect only the men to carry all the responsibilities of marriage. This discourages men who don't have much from getting married. Three, the overwhelming proportion of unmarried women is 30+, and no man who has enough resources to get married wants to marry a 30+ woman. He would rather go for women between 18 and 24. So, this means that many older women will never find a man to marry them. You may dispute the foregoing but the reality stares us in the face.

OYO STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE RE: INCIDENT AT MONIYA POLICE OUTPOST AND DEATH OF MOTORCYCLIST The Oyo State Police Command wishes to inform the general public of an unfortunate incident that occurred on 24th April, 2026, at about 1100hrs within the Moniya axis of Ibadan. Preliminary reports reveal that two police officers attached to the Kara Police Outpost, operating under the supervision of the District Officer (D.O.), were allegedly carrying out an unauthorized stop-and-search operation within their jurisdiction when they intercepted one Sanni Salisu ‘M’, aged 35 years, an okada rider (registration number yet unknown). During the course of the interaction, the motorcyclist suddenly developed what appeared to be an epileptic seizure, slumped on his motorcycle, and became unresponsive. In a swift effort to preserve life, the officers immediately conveyed him to Modupe Hospital, Akinyele, where he was, however, confirmed dead by medical personnel. The sudden nature of the incident, unfortunately, triggered tension within the area. Consequently, some aggrieved individuals, acting on misinformation and unverified narratives, mobilized and attacked the Kara Police Outpost, setting parts of the facility ablaze. During the unrest, property including three motorcycles and one Mazda pick-up patrol vehicle were destroyed by fire, while one police officer sustained severe burns in the course of the attack. Upon receipt of the distress report, the Command promptly deployed reinforcements to the scene, leading to the restoration of law and order. Following this, necessary procedural steps were taken, including the evacuation of the deceased to the Adeoyo State Hospital Mortuary, Ring Road, Ibadan, where the corpse has been deposited for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. In view of the circumstances surrounding the incident, the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, ordered the immediate arrest of the officers involved, who have since been defaulted and are currently in custody. Furthermore, the Commissioner of Police has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department (DCCID) to carry out a thorough and discreet investigation into the matter, ensure that the autopsy is conducted, and that all those found wanting are appropriately sanctioned in accordance with the law. Meanwhile, the Command notes with concern the circulation of false and mischievous narratives on social media aimed at distorting the facts of the incident. Members of the public are strongly advised to disregard such unverified information and rely only on official channels for accurate updates. The Oyo State Police Command reiterates its zero tolerance for indiscipline and misconduct, emphasizing that any officer found culpable will be made to face the full wrath of the law in line with extant regulations. The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, psc, mnips, urges members of the public to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding, assuring that justice will be served in this matter. He also appreciates the Inspector-General of Police for his continued support and commitment to strengthening professionalism and accountability within the Nigeria Police Force. The Command therefore enjoins residents to refrain from taking the law into their hands and to cooperate with the Police as investigations progress. The Oyo State Police Command remains resolute in its commitment to the protection of lives and property, as well as the sustenance of public trust. For Emergencies, Contact: Oyo State Call Response Center Toll-Free Line: 615. Oyo State Police Command Control Room: 08081768614 & 07055495413. The Nigeria Police Force leadership has ordered the dismissal and prosecution of officers involved in the extra judicial killing of Mr Mene Ogidi in Effurun. ASP Nuhu usman and others will be handed over to Judicial authority after rectification from the Police service commission.
Nigeria Police Force@PoliceNG

FORCE LEADERSHIP ORDERS DISMISSAL,PROSECUTION OF OFFICERS INVOLVED IN EFFURUN SHOOTING The Nigeria Police Force hereby provides an update on the disciplinary actions taken following the fatal shooting incident of 26th April 2026 in Effurun, Delta State, which resulted in the death of Mr Mene Ogidi. Sequel to the earlier directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, all officers connected to the incident were immediately withdrawn from the Delta State Command and transferred to Force Headquarters, Abuja, where they were subjected to expedited disciplinary proceedings. The Force Disciplinary Committee (FDC), alongside other internal disciplinary processes, has concluded its review. Findings established unequivocally that the principal officer, ASP Nuhu Usman, acted in gross violation of Force Order 237 and other extant regulations governing the use of firearms. His actions were unlawful, unprofessional, and a clear betrayal of the oath to protect life and uphold the law. Consequently, the FDC has recommended the immediate dismissal of ASP Nuhu Usman and other officers found culpable. The Inspector-General of Police has approved the recommendations and forwarded same to the Police Service Commission for ratification in line with due process. Upon completion of the administrative procedures, the affected officers will be handed over to the appropriate judicial authorities for prosecution for their roles in the extrajudicial shooting. The Inspector-General of Police reiterates, in the strongest terms, that the Nigeria Police Force maintains a zero-tolerance stance on extra-judicial actions and abuse of power. No uniform confers the right to take life outside the provisions of the law. Any officer who violates this fundamental principle will face the full weight of disciplinary and legal consequences. The IGP extends his deepest and most solemn condolences to the family of the deceased, Mr Mene Ogidi. He acknowledges the pain and loss suffered and assures the family that this tragic incident will not be treated lightly. The Force is fully committed to ensuring that justice is not only served but seen to be served, in a manner that reinforces public confidence and institutional accountability. Members of the public are urged to remain calm and law-abiding, as the Nigeria Police Force remains steadfast in its commitment to discipline, professionalism, and the protection of the rights and dignity of all citizens while ensuring accountability at all levels. Setting sentiments and emotions aside, that gun could have been used on you or your loved ones if the police hadn’t intercepted it. The officer may have been wrong to open fire, but as far as I’m concerned, anyone caught with a gun unlawfully does not deserve to see the next day.
