State of Solana Q2 2023 $SOL

$SOL Weekly time frame USD pair. I had some people ask what an inefficiency gap is. This is also known as a fair value gap. Looking at the chart, you'll notice there was a void left unfilled post-FTX nuke. The price failed to fill that gap on previous attempts this year. When SOL finally broke above that level this week, it filled the imbalance within that pocket of liquidity. To identify areas of this nature, I use the volume profile indicator. Standard volume tells you how much has been traded during that period within the candlestick. A volume profile tells you how much volume has been traded at a certain price. So, short position stop losses = market buy. Liquidations = market buy. Spot buying pressure. + standard market buys riding the momentum. Taking all of that into account, it will cause a chain reaction as a large number of market orders hit the order book in a pocket of low liquidity. Every order will scramble looking for fills when there are very few sell orders to execute. This is how I knew if the price broke above the local highs, it was likely to fill in the gap left behind pretty quickly. Daily time frame BTC pair As labelled in the chart, this is the first time SOL/BTC has closed above this level in 18 months. This acted as resistance four times during that period. If the price holds above this area, that signals strong individual strength and a potential long-term reversal. Daily time frame ETH pair. Looking at the Ethereum pair, it is showing higher individual strength in comparison to the Bitcoin pair, pushing towards the range high. If it breaks above here, that will open another large gap to the previous breakdown level. I use different pairs to search for signs of confluence at important levels and to determine the strength of that asset. Circling back to the USD pair, if $30 flips to a weekly level of demand, the new range will be between $30 and the high 40s. Above $50, and that is where things will start to get interesting. If you look at the first chart, you'll notice the lack of volume above that area highlighted in green on the volume profile. You can expect higher levels of volatility and prices to move more freely in that region. Overall, Solana is showing great early signs of a reversal in trend. Depending on how the next few weeks play out, it will be critical to determine if this trend reversal is for real. I hope that all makes sense and that you find it helpful. Cheers👍
