What an incredible experience at @_PVRCinemas Palazzo IMAX! 🤩 The crisp picture, amazing 12-channel IMAX sound, and immersive field of vision made the trip from Hyderabad to Chennai absolutely worth it. #IMAX #TheOdyssey

This is what audiences were missing at the top of the frame if they didn't see The Odyssey in IMAX.

@RealAtlasX Ngl, the larger-than-life stuff works for Indian audiences, but the West might just find it funny. Not every movie needs to be a massive spectacle. A grounded, humanized story connects way better globally. If SSR & SB stop catering just to desi mass sensibilities, they’d be great

Nolan never said he was doing a Homer version, and there are multiple translations that aren't exactly similar. To know the Homer version, Homer should come back from death and tell. He took inspiration from Emily Wilson's translation.

Hey, myths are like poems, and poems often have double meanings. Nobody said Kantara was bad, so stop trying to push your narrative by claiming no one likes it. This pathetic behavior of yours needs to stop. Talking random bullshit.

in ‘TAXI DRIVER’ (1976) or ‘JOKER’ (2019) when Travis Bickle or Arthur Fleck get access to a gun for the first time the entire course of those films changes because now you’re already fearing a weapon as dangerous as a pistol got into the wrong hands. this scene in ‘JAGADAM’ (2007) has almost the same psychological effect. up until this scene in the film, it’s one thing to see a group of young guys talking about violence and acting rowdy, but the moment a gun genuinely shows up in their hands Sukumar creates this insane psychological shift for us that makes us fear for of and for them. insane directing and glorious visuals by Rathnavelu and editing by Sreekar Prasad.

#IMAX 70mm is way more accessible compared to other analog formats like Vistavision, 5/70, 35mm or even 16mm. The reason why only ~40 15/70 exist is lack of Investments from Cinema Chains. IMAX can only spend more on R&D if there's demand in the market, demand which they aren't able to fullfill with their current inventory lot. Before Sinners & Interstellar re-release became a big success, no Exhibitor was even asking for IMAX 70mm. Demand is clearly absent. When they did ask, IMAX was able to supply ~6 more IMAX 70mm projectors for new/upgrade locations, which we are seeing now. Everything lies at the hands of Exhibitors & what Investments are they willing to strategise.

We need to criticise some of indian film industries. Aap india me kidhar se ho mujhe pata nahi hai but hamare yaha they take forever to finish films, and the budget just keeps going up. As an audience, we end up paying more for tickets and still have to watch mediocre stuff.
A T@naughtyrobot725

Nolan takes prep time of 1-2 years as well. Not to forget, their technology is much more efficient. Way more resources at disposal. Its foolish to compare Hollywood way of filmmaking with India. Even Nolan would take 5-6 years to make a film here.
