It is hilarious to me how mad Indiana is that no one cared about their National Championship. Notre Dame was the talk of college football before, during, and after the playoffs. I kind of feel bad for them…

Indiana more of an undersized really active defensive line who win with speed and get up field They will key your offensive line movements and win with numbers to the ball. They trust their keys Where Miami can beat you with speed and raw power Indiana is very formidable with stunts and speed Collectively along the defensive line they are a very shoot out like cannons penetrate type defense 2nd in the country in terms of TFL a game with 8.53 (Oklahoma 1st 9.39) Linebackers are smart and cover ground well. Sim pressure series they run at you is good. Nothing Miami hasn’t seen before. They don’t look like a crazy pressure blitz team. Don’t think they need to be. Preserves back end better. Similar to Miami. Secondary are sure tacklers and fit well in in the run game They don’t rely on the safety blitz as heavily as Miami does Corners outside aren’t Ohio state clamp types but play their respective roles well Like most teams on the year they seem to want you in 3rd and longs and that’s their most creative in terms of looks In good positions to tip balls and seem to get these back breaking interceptions when it matters As a qb you have to find the read and have a great day diagnosing early. If you miss reads they will get home. Thats their game. Get you to double check your math and by then it’s too late Offensively. pro style multiple formation team that will attack you in different ways You can beat their right tackle I feel they can do a lot of things really really well but the 3 step series and Mendoza ability to be effective in it is when they are uber effective If he has a safety blanket. It’s getting the ball out in that series and looking on the outside for one on one matchups In every game where a big play needed to be made it’s to a wr and it’s vertical. Or on the outside. And he makes those throws A majority of the time You have to account for him as a runner. They will design things here and there to keep you honest. But ultimately can extend a drive with his feet when play isn’t there Ny Giants rules. The more you can get pressure without blitzing the more I think it can advantage you. You have to confuse Mendoza site pictures. Post snap and play with his eyes. He’ll pick you a part if you don’t. Considers him an nfl style qb and employ tactics similarly They are not afraid to take shots on 3rd and shorts. Like at all They know your bunch rules They know your motion rules Running game is very good. RBs are both set to go over 1000 yards. One has. They’ve run over 300 6 times ODU Kenesaw Indiana st Illinois Maryland and Purdue Ran over 200 twice UCLA and Alabama Their closest games is where the run game totals weren’t gaudy Oregon first game 30-20 game was close in the 4th 111 yards rushing (3.0 per) Iowa 20-15. 104 yards rushing (2.67 per) Penn state 27-24 108 yards rushing (3.48 per) Ohio state 13-10 118 yards rushing (3.47 per) They want to get up field and hit holes in a hurry. Mix of everything. Pin pull. Zone gap. Offensive line is fast to get to where they need to go. Can constitute this team as run first if you consider totals Mendoza has thrown over 300 3x on the season Indiana state Michigan state and Wisconsin. 73% passer Ultimately the vibe Indiana gives you is that they are disciplined and every snap is a bull ride along the LOS. they play every snap with high motor intensity. A give it your all get up field no go go go go now do it again and again. They are relentless in that regard They are the second least penalized team in the nation. The only team that is better in that regards is the UNITED STATES ARMY So brings you to the end all be all. Are they the most talented team the Hurricanes will face ? No. I still give that honor to Ohio state. The draft board will say so as well. Are they the best team the Hurricanes will face ? Yes. They are really well coached, disciplined, they don’t beat themselves, they don’t have proverbial holes
