My XI under Drury… need wingers with pace, who can beat their man and put in a decent cross. A big centre half to partner Muzza (Goode maybe) and a right wingback who can defend in a 4, not opposed to Gooch as long as Roughan sits in. #htafc

@HMSHTAFC I disagree, League One is a physical league, he’s in the 99th percentile for aerial duels won, 95th percentile of duels won and in the 60th or above percentile for touches, chance creation, goals etc. he is a great player. Stevenage (who finished above us) had a similar profile

I'm going to get hate but Murray Wallace.... Deserved POTY but to be at the top end you can't really be going into games with him as a starter He lacks pace and therefore the defence has to sit deeper because he will struggle to get back meaning we play deeper as a whole #htafc

@WillHH07 Agreed, think he had a few good cameos as a midfield option too, very versatile player

@BigTone1986 Even if coming off the bench I wouldn’t be against us using Sorensen as a winger rather than a full back as he’s much better going forward than defending

@CrootAdam For me, in Drury’s 7 games Harness was arguably our best player I think with trust and freedom he could be a great player for us. In terms of Sorensen I think he lacks the defensive ability to be an out and out right-back. Hoping with a full preseason McGuane can play a big part

@BigTone1986 I’d want a replacement for Harness personally, think he’s too inconsistent and a bit too sloppy on ball to play fully central but good enough for backup across that line. Don’t think we need a RB either, Sorensen good this year IMO and McGuane injured too often to rely on

@j_littlerr I really like Gooch, I do question his defensive ability at times especially in a back 4, but it Roughan was to tuck in and create a 3 when Gooch inevitably advances I’d have no issues with that. A bit of a rogue one too but I genuinely don’t mind the idea of Balker playing RB.

@BigTone1986 Gooch, despite his underwhelming season, is the best right back in the division. We have to get some decent wingers in the building in the summer, as you said. Two good wingers are the difference between a poor and a great season for us imo

@TheTwatOfHTAFC I personally see Iorpenda as a more advanced player, more as a 10. Ledson shown to be better as more of an 8 than a 6 last season, so the logic with mcguane would be he sits to allow Ledson freedom to advance. Although, iorpenda is someone I’m extremely excited about watching.

@BigTone1986 @htafc It’s all about clubs ethos managers or coaches have to fit that ..!! Along with working with MR Markham. Hierarchy’s way but if the ethos is wrong and you don’t admit it you get constantly changing managers 🤔 So ethos MUST be right .! Give Drury a season’s chance.!

It’s not about who’s in charge..!! It’s about them believing in @htafc ethos/vision on how the team is to play and clubs objectives..!! Judgement can only be made by giving them a full season and then fixing our problems won’t be a quick fix ..!! #htafc

Arguably miss this team more than the prem team, this version or Sorba that was absolutely lethal on set pieces, the combination of Toff and LOB, Colwill being incredible, Russell breaking through. And all tied together with Corberan, man I miss the old days #htafc

This season was a disappointment, no doubt. But I DO want to commend the players and staff for their efforts today.
