Keep an eye on the Atlantic 10, Mountain West & MAC. - With so many bubble losses over the weekend, those rare teams that won (VCU, Santa Clara & Stanford) made up ground in the seed line hierarchy. VCU & Santa Clara remain in the field, and Stanford is now knocking on the door of selection. - The margin of error from Santa Clara down is microscopic, and a big win early in conference tournament week will likely move the needle. -Metrics (including poor road record) and weak non-conference scheduling are really holding back West Virginia. I simply don't believe the selection committee will set a precedent of a perfect regular season, in a conference which traditionally produces conference champions in the 12-seed range....and leave them out.
