Tomorrow from 8am to 6pm it’s a #BigWeekend takeover on Radio 1 Big Weekend tunes all day and then from 4-6pm Sam and Danni count down the Top 25 iconic performances from Radio 1's Big Weekend over the years as they get you ready for Sunderland 2026!

@WweDaz Luton’s Saturday lineup was incredible with Raye and Charli xcx. I don’t think Charli will ever play a tent again - R1 struck gold with that booking. I think I know a name for Sunday’s lineup but excited to find out the rest. You are right though, some years really do stick out!

@BigWeekendNews Yeah love a range of music, but some years just stick out. Have a feeling the Sunday lineup will be better than Liverpools sunday lineup. Glasgow was class when i went there as was Hackney.

@DF97678 There is a very good gender split on this year’s lineup and I’m expecting another female headliner for Sunday which *I think* would be the first time Saturday and Sunday have both had female headliners. I guess we will find out tomorrow!

@BigWeekendNews Hopefully Sundays better. Great to see the good gender split in the lineup but it seems like it’s full of TikTok viral artists. And nothing really unique let’s hope for a good special guest

@WweDaz We got very lucky last year and you could say that for a lot of previous Big Weekends. I think also given the price Big Weekend is still insane value. Personally, I’m not sure there’s anyone I wouldn’t want to go and see but that’s coming from someone with a varied music taste

@DF97678 Those are the rumours I have seen as well. Also seen Louis Tomlinson suggested. I could see Olivia Dean and Louis Tomlinson being Saturday and Sunday headliners. Maybe Zara Larsson co-headlining with one of them? Or potentially Anthems slot but she may be too current for that.
