@fantasy_fic @janesue821 He's 5, and additionally the behavior of ipad use is being actively encouraged by teachers. Kids would eat candy for every meal too, hence why you have to A teach them about health and nutrition and B until they learn restrict access to it. Same thing.

My friend is livid bc she just found out her son will have his own iPad in kindergarten. She’s spent 5 years only letting him watch the big tv, and then never more than 30min at a time and then they hand him an iPad lol.

@janesue821 Big Tech does it on purpose. They give schools preferential contracts for these large orders of electronics and get people on the inside of the school systems to push for wider implementation, because they know they'll make the lost money back through getting those kids addicted.

@JennMGreenberg I'm younger(I was 5 when the ipad came out) but thankfully my parents never did this type of shit. I would always bring like 2 or 3 matchbox cars to the store and occupy myself with those. Most millennials are terrible parents, massive amount of data on the harms of screen use.
