@Abu_Jawaadd This is not the first incident of lecturers / HODs intimidating and oppressing students because of mark or exams. It’s a totally stupid act and signifies someone with low values and standards. I wish every other lecturer doing such a thing to poor students can be beaten too.

The HOD of History and International Studies at Northwest University (formerly Yusuf Maitama University) a visiting lecturer at MAAUN (Mariam Abacha American Nigerian University) was beaten mercilessly by an angry husband. Why? He kept rejecting the man’s wife’s project for the past 2 years, then demanded to have an affair with her in exchange for approval. The MAAUN student exposed him, told her husband, and they set the trap. He showed up for the meet-up… and received the beating of his life!

Dear Minister @ayowisdom_, we will not allow you to Yorubanize Nigeria. Every tribe should be free to wear their traditional attire if NYSC requires that. Tribal superiority at the federal level will not stand. You are not the first to be Minister of NYSC. Adire should be for Yoruba people. Ndigbo will not drop our indigenous attire and wear Yoruba attire; it will not happen.

The problem with Nigerians is they don’t read Virtually everyone has criticized this choice of replacing khaki with adire but no one has taken time to find out what are the pros and cons of the choice The traditional khaki fabric used for NYSC uniforms has historically been imported. However, as part of sweeping reforms, the Federal Government is replacing the khaki uniform with locally produced Adire fabric. This move aims to boost Nigeria's local textile industry and keep government spending within the country. We complain daily why dollar keep going up but dollar will not just automatically come down if reforms like this don’t take place Apart from conserving the scarce foreign exchange it creates jobs opportunities for those in the textile industry but many youths don’t see that Nigerians really need reorientation Many only use google to search unimaginable things like how can Increase my bumbum without doing BBL @ayowisdom_

@ayowisdom_ Incorporating civilians style in the camping system has more disadvantages compared to the advantages. It will attract indiscipline, classism, and even cultism. What pcms need is to be posted to less risky places and good facilities not ADIRE!!!!!

My attention has been drawn to some media reports following my brief appearance earlier this morning on Channels TV regarding the ongoing reforms of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), particularly on the issue of the proposed uniform. For the avoidance of doubt, yes, I mentioned Adire during the discussion. I also mentioned Ankara. My intention was simply to cite examples of some of the proposals that have been put forward in the course of our consultations. It was not an announcement that any particular fabric has been adopted or approved to replace the current NYSC uniform. For the record, what we are considering are different options that tick all the right boxes in terms of professional outlook, a unique national identity, durability, functionality, cost-effectiveness, and the projection of national pride. No final decision has been taken on the fabric or design. As with every aspect of the ongoing NYSC reforms, any eventual decision will be guided by extensive stakeholder engagement and what best serves the interests of the Scheme and the nation. I respectfully urge Nigerians to continue to engage with the ongoing NYSC reform conversation based on its broader objectives and the immense benefits it holds for our young people and our country. The reforms are designed to make the Scheme more relevant to today's realities by improving employability, promoting entrepreneurship, strengthening national integration, enhancing service delivery, and creating a smoother transition from education to productive careers. While conversations around the uniform are understandable, they should not overshadow the far-reaching reforms aimed at empowering millions of Nigerian youths and positioning the NYSC as a stronger platform for national development. I appreciate the constructive feedback and assure Nigerians that every proposal will continue to be carefully considered in the best interest of the nation.

VeryDarkMan (VDM) traveled to Ibadan in Southwest Nigeria for a protest. Can you believe what he and his fellow protesters were holding in their hands? They were carrying various types of weapons. It was clear they went there to fight and cause chaos simply because it’s Yoruba land in the Southwest. I still can’t believe that security forces are just standing by, allowing this guy to get away with the many atrocities he has committed against humanity. The government is being far too lenient with VDM. If serious measures are not taken, he will eventually become another Nnamdi Kanu the leader of ipob terr@rist — a problem the government may no longer be able to control.
