@sammy_2_sure I have been hearing "E go better" ever since I was a child but the reverse is the case..
We have the resources, but in the hands of incompetent leaders, it's useless😪

@Biggal28 It's so crazy when you look at the country at this 21st century and we're still this backwards 😪💔.
I could still remember in primary and secondary school when we sang how Nigeria is great and yet we've still not achieved any form of greatness as a country. I feel so bad for 🇳🇬

While I was serving in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, I taught these kids extra lessons, a boy and a girl. They were primary school children.
Their parents were considered rich in the community. They owned a provision store, a beer parlour, and a pool (gambling) centre right in the heart of the village.
I would teach the lessons right in the middle of all the buying and selling. Their parents suggested the kids come to the one bedroom place I was renting. I gave both the mum and dad an emphatic NO.
The parents were just trying to make sure their kids learned and got a bit of advantage in life. They didn’t see the danger in sending their innocent children to a fully grown adult’s house for a few hours during the day, all alone.
Anyway, I continued teaching the lessons there. Village people would come around and offer me drinks. Multiple offers of alcohol. I’d say no, and when some of them persisted, I’d take a malt and milk instead. I remember doing the maths then: it was the same price as a bottle of Guinness or 33 back then.
To every Nigerian parent with a boy and a girl: it is your duty to protect your children from predators. If our parents paid a bit more attention, a lot of child molestation could have been avoided, and these poor kids wouldn’t be gifted with those horrible memories.
I’m telling you this to say: protect your kids. Protect yourselves as adults. Don’t put yourself in situations that’ll bring questions to your integrity. But above all, do not drink alcohol. And if you have to, drink responsibly.
BE A GOOD PERSON.

Please release these children for the sake of our shared humanity
I am deeply shocked and heartbroken by the condition in which these abducted school children are, as seen from their flagellated bodies. It is a painful reminder of the depth of insecurity in our land.
I have always made it clear that the society we abuse today will take its revenge on our children tomorrow. When I first began making that statement, some of these children were not even born. This is a classic example of how the abuse of governance and society today can produce devastating consequences long after the abusers are gone.
It is on the same line that I argue that the loans our leaders take today will hurt our children in the future, as many of them will mature for repayment and consequences long after we are gone.
To those holding these children, I make a direct appeal to your conscience. Remember that these are innocent children - sons and daughters of people who have placed their hopes, dreams, and entire future in them. In every one of them, you will find reflections of your own children, your own family, and your own humanity.
No grievance, no hardship, no justification can ever outweigh the sanctity of a child’s life and innocence. Whatever path has led to this moment, there is still room for remorse, for humanity, and for a change of heart.
I therefore appeal to your sense of mercy: release these children immediately. Let them go. Return them safely to society to reunite with their families. -PO

A New Month Prayer for Our Kidnapped School Children and a Call for Compassion
As we welcome a new month, our hearts are heavy with concern and prayers for the school children who were abducted and are presently held in captivity, far away from the safety of their homes, parents, teachers, and loved ones. While many families are celebrating the beginning of a new month with hope and gratitude, several parents continue to endure sleepless nights, uncertainty, and emotional pain as they await the safe return of their children.
Children are the hope of every nation and the custodians of tomorrow. They deserve classrooms, books, playgrounds, and opportunities to learn—not fear, violence, or captivity. Every child has a dream, a future, and a purpose that must be protected. Their safety should remain a collective responsibility of all citizens and institutions.
Today, we offer sincere prayers for these innocent children and all those affected by this unfortunate situation. We pray that God Almighty watches over them, protects them from harm, strengthens their spirits, and grants them a safe reunion with their families.
To those holding these innocent children, we make a heartfelt appeal: let mercy prevail over cruelty. These children have committed no offense and should not be made to suffer for circumstances beyond their control. We appeal to your conscience and humanity to release them unharmed and allow them to return to their parents, families, and schools. Every human life is precious, and every child deserves the opportunity to live, learn, and grow in peace.
We equally call on the Federal Government of Nigeria, security agencies, state authorities, community leaders, and all relevant stakeholders to do everything humanly possible to secure the immediate and safe release of these children. The protection of lives and property remains one of the foremost responsibilities of government, and every available resource should be deployed to ensure that these young Nigerians regain their freedom.
As Scripture reminds us, "Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed." (Psalm 82:3). This is a moment for compassion, unity, and decisive action.
May this new month bring good news to the affected families. May tears be turned into joy, fear into hope, and sorrow into celebration. May every child in captivity return home safely, and may peace, security, and justice prevail throughout our nation.
Happy New Month to all Nigerians. May God bless our children, bless our schools.
The Federal Republic of Nigeria will be OK with Peter Obi tomorrow.
