@PaulLenart10 We don’t have any indication that the driver had any plan or ideological motivation. He reportedly told the police he did it intentionally, but that doesn’t answer why. So we will avoid speculation and wait for more information.

@spake54 All good. We just know that rumors can fly fast but the facts must walk slowly. We don’t want the people we serve to be paranoid or hesitant to come get the help they need. They’ve got enough to deal with already. Be well.

Hi friends- Many of you have reached out recently w/ questions about Monday’s tragedy. We were not the ones attacked at CARES campus. To clarify - there are two Food Not Bombs groups in Reno. Biggest Lil FNB is a separate entity from FNB Reno, who AFAIK are not on Twitter. 1/4

@spake54 We face enough real threats from the State & fascist elements that we want to be careful not to stoke panic where it is not merited. If we get information about targeted security threats to our community we will respond appropriately.

@spake54 It should be emphasized that we have no indication this was targeted at Food Not Bombs or the unhoused people being served.“Intentionally” can mean a lot of different things when talking about a driver’s choices, & we would also advise not taking police statements at face value.
