Yesterday, Nalanda University hosted a distinguished lecture under the ICPR Lecture Series, organised by the School of Buddhist Studies, Philosophy and Comparative Religions, on “Master Nāgārjuna’s Philosophy of Emptiness & Quantum Physics: Convergences and Divergences.” The insightful talk was delivered by Ven. Geshe Dorji Damdul, Director, Tibet House, New Delhi, who beautifully connected Madhyamaka thought with contemporary scientific inquiry. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Professor Sachin Chaturvedi, in his concluding remarks, highlighted Nalanda’s enduring legacy as a global space for dialogue between ancient wisdom and modern knowledge. #ICPRLectureSeriesatNalanda @Sachin_Chat | @tibethouse

माननीय मुख्यमंत्री श्री नीतीश कुमार जी ने आज बिहार म्यूज़ियम में इमरसिव प्रदर्शिनी का अवलोकन किया तथा संग्रहालय के महानिदेशक श्री अंजनी कुमार सिंह के साथ म्यूज़ियम का संपूर्ण भ्रमण भी किया। इस अवसर पर माननीय मंत्री श्री विजय कुमार चौधरी एवं अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्ति भी उपस्थित थे।

From the world-famous Didarganj Yakshi (a Mauryan masterpiece) to the incredible bronze sculptures and the sprawling History Galleries—it’s a deep dive into 2000+ years of civilization. One of the best-curated spaces I’ve ever seen. Plus a surprising gallery of contemporary art, including stunning originals by Anjolie Ela Menon and Aparna Cour. Worth visiting Patna just to see the #BiharMuseum!

The collection is massive—prehistoric artifacts, stunning terracotta, and the iconic Yakshi. If you’re in Patna, this is a non-negotiable stop. Truly "Pataliputra" brought to life in the most modern way possible. The History Galleries take you chronologically from the Mauryan Empire all the way through the Mughal era. So many stunning highlights but the Didarganj Yakshi is the "Mona Lisa" of the museum—a 2,300-year-old sandstone beauty.

And the structure is worth a comment. Designed by Japanese firm Maki & Associates, it’s as much about the building as it is the art. And don’t miss the stunning outdoor sculpture by Subodh Gupta, which creates a Yantra out of common household objects like refrigerators, washing machines, microwaves and irons!

Spent 2.5 hours at the Bihar Museum in Patna yesterday and it wasn’t nearly enough! The Museum is a world-class gem — the seamless blend of modern architecture and ancient treasures is stunning. I spent over two hours wandering through the Mauryan, Gupta, and Pala dynasty collections, and I still feel like I missed so much. The interactive Children's Gallery and the courtyard spaces are 10/10 as well.
