Saturday Session. Alas no mild on offer for the 'May is Mild Month' tradition. Enjoying a fine pint of Vale's Black Beauty Porter. Very smooth, easy drinking with hints of roast malts. Cheers 🍻

Quick dash to Tesco for a few bits and saw they have the new ABV Broadside on the shelf. In the interests of research I grabbed one to try later. New label loses the 'Barrage of Flavours' tag and, as @IanJ21289455 pointed out a couple of days ago, is now showing 'Premium Ale' 🍻

@NigelSommelier I do like an Adnams Old Ale.

Beer O'Clock. Worth waiting for. Nice line up here in the Railway Tavern, Chelmsford. Good to see they've still got Adnams Old on, it's their last cask here. apparently. Fuller's ESB for me to start off with. Cheers 🍻

No sign of the rain yet, just grey n breezy but mild, 15C. Tescos very quiet. Which was nice 🙂. Part two of my domestic duties, into the kitchen. Picked up some cheap raspberries so raspberry and apple crumble it is for desert. Cook's #beer on standby ☺️🍻

Hedge advice needed. What would you do to restore this hedge? Try and Lay the old fashion way? Although I'm worried the stems are too wide. Coppice the lot and replant? Just pleach and push them over with a Telehandler?

I always enjoy visiting a beer festival. It’s a grand celebration of various cask ales. Do you still attend them?

As a Cat lover a no brainer choice😸😹 for this Champion Scottish beer in Amber full body Bitter style Caramel toffee Malt. Barley & Wheat , Challenger and Fuggles Hops Abv 5.1% Hoots mon ! Steady the noo !

I’ve said it before & I’ll no doubt say it again. Not seen as ‘cool’ by the beer trendies, but in my humble opinion, Leffe is very underrated. Fabulous beer.

Now in the Kingston Arms, Cambridge fab pub with lots of bees on. Busy this Easter Saturday Went for the stout 2 fires lit
