Hi CTD, Since you've been tampering with this account, I'm sure you must've seen a tweet of mine about David Miller that Saad had RTed. This pinned post you're trying to use as the 'smoking gun' wasn't there earlier. I would know that because I frequented his wall regularly.

To civil society, journalists, and state officials: I am writing as a grieving wife, seeking the immediate and lawful release of my husband, Muhammad Saad. At approximately 3:30 AM this Monday, 12–13 masked men with guns forcibly entered our home and took him away without presenting any warrant or lawful authority. This was an unlawful deprivation of liberty and a direct violation of due process. Only after legal pressure did personnel within CTD register an FIR on laughable grounds. This post facto action raises serious concerns of mala fide intent and abuse of process, where the law is invoked after the fact to justify an illegal act. Saad is a journalist, researcher, and Political Science scholar. His work engages with complex subjects, including Balochistan, Kashmir, and international affairs. He has interviewed recognised public figures such as Former Prime Minister Anwar ul Haq Kakar, as well as senior journalists Sohail Warraich and Hamid Mir, and has introduced major international voices to Pakistan’s media space. More importantly, Saad has worked with state institutions when called upon, contributing to areas aligned with the national interest. He was vetted, cleared, and entrusted by the State. Today, that same individual is being subjected to coercive action by its functionaries. This contradiction is not incidental but structural. If individuals who have been vetted and trusted by the state can be subjected to arbitrary detention and retrospective criminalisation, then the question is unavoidable: on what basis does the state expect trust from its citizens? The actions of certain personnel within CTD constitute a clear overreach of authority. Powers granted for public safety cannot be exercised in violation of constitutional safeguards, including the inviolability of the home and the right to due process. The law does not permit enforced taking into custody followed by procedural reconstruction. Saad has never engaged with any proscribed material nor been involved in any unlawful activity. His life and work have remained within the bounds of law and intellectual inquiry. I call upon civil society, the media, and responsible state authorities to take immediate cognisance of this case. Ensure due process. Examine the legality of the initial detention. Hold those responsible accountable. And ensure his safe and immediate release. This is not just about one individual. It is about law and dignity. It is about giving hope to others who have worked for the state and Pakistan whenever called upon, who have trusted the state against all odds. This youth must be protected and safeguarded within a shrinking demographic that believe in state and that is increasingly disillusioned and disenfranchised. #ReleaseSaad #RuleofLaw

The first Pakistani writer I learnt about was Mawdudi. I read several books written by him. In Türkiye, Turkish translations of his books were best-seller. Mawdudi has a very distinctive style of writing and he would explain Islam in a very lucid way.

The illegal arrest of @hafizsaadriaz is extremely shocking and upsetting news, saad has always been one of the very few properly academic journalistic voices in Pakistan, dedicated to actual serious dialogue with veterans of the field rather than hollow sensationalist drama for views and attention, his abduction based on baseless accusations is an attack against serious muslim academic reporting and journalism in the country. May Allah make it easy for him and his closed ones, you can't threaten a guy who learned his journalistic spirit from the likes or Anas al-Sharif. Requesting prayers for him. youtu.be/c1wSsjHWDi8?si…

Saad Riaz has consistently spoken out against Al-Qaeda, BLA, TTP, and Afghan Taliban on social media, boldly calling them terrorists. Yet Lahore CTD abducted this young activist with the absurd claim of "Al-Qaeda links." Only after massive public outrage did they formally "arrest" him. This is a dangerous joke. Government must take immediate notice and take strict action against the CTD officers involved. Stop targeting those who fight terror. Protect real voices.

FREE SAAD RIAZ I have known Saad (@hafizsaadriaz) for many years, and I can say with full confidence that he is not the kind of person these accusations make him out to be. The case filed against him is completely false. The claim that he was "preaching Al-Qaeda" in a mosque and that an "Al-Qaeda Membership Card" was found on him is honestly ridiculous. Anyone who has ever met Saad knows that these charges are nothing but lies. It feels like this case has been made up just to shut him up. Saad has always been someone who spoke up for people who are suffering. He raised his voice for the people of Gaza, Kashmir, Syria and all the Muslims around the world. He never spread hate or violence. He simply cared about human lives and was not afraid to say so. That is exactly why what has happened to him is so wrong. A man who only ever spoke up for the oppressed has now been taken away by the very authorities who should be protecting people like him. He was picked up without any fair process and no one knows where he is. This is not justice. This is silence by force. We are demanding his release right now. Keeping him locked away is not just wrong for him personally. It is wrong for every single person who believes in the right to speak the truth. #ReleaseSaad

Mike Huckabee claims on Oct 7th there was “the beheading of babies in the presence of their mothers” This did not happen - but babies were beheaded in Gaza by Israeli bombs, you can see it on your phone. Huckabee will never mention this, let alone mourn for the children of Gaza
Ambassador Mike Huckabee@GovMikeHuckabee

The NYT did extensive intvu w/ Tucker Carlson-& questions were legit & professional. In it, Tucker accused me of advocating for killing of children & civilians. Asked to respond, I sent the following. (In fairness, NYT couldn't use all), but here it is: “Poor Tucker needs help.  He’s clearly circling the drain by saying something so outrageous.  No sane person “advocates” for the murder of children or civilians.  Even the allegation is sick and evil. Tucker  apparently limits his compassion to the unfortunate souls who have died in Gaza as a result of the stubbornness of Hamas to release hostages and who murdered their own citizens and intentionally put them in front of military assets where they would be most likely to become victims of the war.  One never hears Tucker lament the massacre and mutilation of 1200 women, babies, and elderly people butchered by Hamas on October 7 or the torture, rape and starvation of the 251 hostages taken and held by Hamas.  I am heartbroken by the slaughter of innocent civilians wherever they are and whoever they are.  Tucker’s irrational hatred of Jews in general and Israel in particular blinds him to the horrific savagery inflicted upon the victims of October 7, including the rape of women in front of their children, the beheading of babies in the presence of their mothers, or setting fire to elderly people who sat in wheelchairs and were burned alive, all of which were captured on video taken by Hamas terrorists who were so proud of their despicable acts that they wore Go-Pro cameras to record it as if they were taking movies of a dance recital.  Tucker’s contempt of President Trump is just another instance in which the Tucker Carlson I once knew has become someone unrecognizable.  I pray he finds himself and God.  He has become a very angry and bitter man and it’s truly tragic to watch.”

Absolute hypocrisy exposed. Ana Kasparian brutally calls out right wingers who cry about Trump being called a fascist, while their own handler Mark Levin literally labels the entire nation of Iran and anyone critical of Israel as a Nazi. The double standard is staggering.
