Over the past month, we hosted the Riquid Hackathon and received a large number of submissions from talented and motivated participants from all around the space. First of all, thank you to everyone who invested their time, energy, and creativity into building. We genuinely respect the effort that goes into turning an idea into a working product. After carefully reviewing all submissions, we made the difficult decision not to select a winner for this hackathon. While we saw many interesting concepts and strong enthusiasm, none of the projects fully matched the vision, quality, execution level, and long-term direction we originally outlined for Liquid. One thing became very clear during this process: We are currently in a market cycle where many people are using AI to rapidly generate products and protocols, but in many cases without the deeper technical understanding, product clarity, or execution capabilities required to truly finish and scale them properly. A large percentage of submissions relied heavily on older-generation AI tooling without demonstrating the underlying engineering depth or strategic direction needed to move beyond an early prototype stage. That said, this hackathon was still extremely valuable for us. During this process, we continued building internally and we are happy to say that our own product is progressing very well and is approaching launch readiness. The Riquid token launch itself will take a bit more time, as we are carefully monitoring market conditions and broader ecosystem timing to ensure the strongest possible rollout. We appreciate everyone who participated and supported the vision. This is only the beginning.
