All stand your ground and castle doctrine did is take away your duty to retreat and it was a huge step forward for self defense. Prior to that in Florida you had prosecutors arguing "you could have run out the back door" in the case of your house or "you could have just walked away" in a case like that that took place in public. That part of the self defense laws has nothing to do with the part where in order to use deadly force a person must " reasonably believes it is necessary to prevent imminent death, great bodily harm, or the commission of a forcible felony". What does a reasonable person believe that to be? Well that's a question for the jury. For reference George Zimmermans defense was not a stand your ground defense, those only take place in more clear cut cases where both parties have a weapon and the judge often rules on it. His defense was a standard self defense case and because he was beaten so badly and had physical evidence to prove it, massive wounds on his head, he was able to prevail in a lengthy jury trial. If you go around armed thinking cases like this one are "clear cut stand your ground" you are destined for real legal trouble but hey go ahead bro fight and fire away. But know this I have seen these cases go either way and some I thought should have been clear cut in favor of the shooter end in lengthy jail terms. I repeat again on the advice of criminal attorneys with a long history of defending clients in court, do not engage in fist fights while armed, you are at a severe physical and legal disadvantage.

On chud the builder since people are seething in my replies: No, blacks shouldnt be able to assault you over a word and they shouldn't be allowed to shoot your dog. Given chuds history of posting about violence towards black people, it's very stupid for him to go out and instigate fights for donations on streams. If he was assaulted and defended himself, he deserves to be exonerated. You people are trying to make him into Rosa Parks for white people and it's just a fundamental misunderstanding of how the Civil Rights revolution worked. It's not going to work like that, this isn't how things change. People are trying to make this into some statement of political activism when it's just garbage tier entertainment like Johnny Somali and nobody thinks he's some political Savant. Multiple things can be true and you need to understand how these things will be framed. This isn't some guy who yelled a slur at a black dude and got attacked, he's got a long history of violent threats and prosecution will point to that. And of course saying a slur should not be something that justifies people assaulting you.

You are illustrating the problem perfectly. Avoid all conflict while armed. Ignore assholes behaving like assholes and do not engage in verbal confrontations even when people engage with you. Ask a competent criminal defense lawyer in your area and they will tell you the same thing.

Today, @ChudTheBuilder was violently assaulted by a black person, and shot him. Many on the right have mixed thoughts about him. But...a few things: -Notice that Chud does not start the fights. He simply records what life is like in areas where public order has collapsed due to the Black population. When he turns on his smart glasses and walks into a store or gas station, what does he often find? Black people being violent, loud, rude, vulgar, or destructive. He does not create the chaos. He simply documents it. -But Americans have become accustomed to looking the other way, avoiding eye contact, avoiding certain stores and areas of town and allowing this behavior to continue. Many of the complaints I hear about him center around "Why can't he just go somewhere else?" "Why can't he just be quiet and let them be?". This is a disgusting question to hear come from the mouths of American men. Exactly how many towns, cities, stores, streets, and areas are we supposed to hand over to people who behave this way? This is modern British thinking, it is not American, and certainly not Christian thinking. -Because of this weakness, Blacks have been able to build a parallel culture of disorder alongside civil society. In Black culture, people can scream at workers, vandalize public spaces, threaten strangers, defy the law, and face little meaningful consequence. -However, this culture is not self-contained. Like a parasite, it draws on the tax dollars, infrastructure, patience, and restraint of the very society it undermines. Blacks can move freely between ordered spaces and disordered ones, taking advantage of one while damaging the other. Meanwhile, when we are forced to venture into their society, we do so at great risk of assault, rape, and murder. -So, you can disagree with Chud. You can criticize his language, his tactics, or his behavior. But he is exposing something real: a rotting wound and ticking time bomb at the center of the country. He is exposing a problem to which many are blind, because they have never lived in areas heavily populated by Blacks. He is forcing people to look at what happens when disorder is excused, tolerated, and protected from criticism. Where many would turn away, he records it. Pray for him.
