Ederson might genuinely be the one signing almost the entire Manchester United fanbase agrees they do not want. No hype. No excitement. No buzz around him at all. Maybe that’s because nobody really knows him like that outside Serie A circles. No flashy comps. No social media propaganda. Just silence. Meanwhile INEOS and the Glazers have pushed the deal so far that Atalanta were reportedly ready to leave him out of a crucial game. That does not happen unless negotiations are deep. But now United suddenly look unsure about whether to go through with it. And that is the embarrassing part. This is not some random player United discovered last week. They have reportedly scouted Ederson for 2–3 years. So why does it suddenly feel like they are waiting for fan approval before making a decision? That is not how serious football clubs operate. Trust your scouts. Trust your recruitment team. Trust your football structure. Stop moving based on social media reactions. Because the same fanbase that is now doubting Ederson was hyping Onana and Ugarte like world class signings. Look how that turned out. Football decisions cannot be made off YouTube compilations and online excitement. If the club truly believes Ederson is the right player, sign him. If not, walk away. But this constant hesitation and panic over fan reaction is exactly why United keep looking lost in the market.

@NoushardMUFC Moreover he is not going to the world cup. I think UTD might be playing the hardball with Atlanta so they lower the asking price, which is the right move. He is a good MDF to have in your team.

@NoushardMUFC I do agree with you about the negotiation part. I think the terms are already done with the player. But I think UTD might be reluctant to pay the asking price for him. His contract is ending next year. No way we should be paying anything more than 30 mil for him.

General consensus from Atalanta fans re Ederson is they are happy to cash in this summer and feel United will pay a good price and Ederson is a good player but there are better options in the market.

The reason Ronaldo was on the bench was simply that he was not playing the way the manager wanted him to. Ten Hag wanted him to press the ball, but Ronaldo did not. While I'm not a fan of Ten Hag, it's clear that Ronaldo didn't want to follow his tactics. That's an obvious fact😞😞

Elliot Anderson prefers Man City, and Tchouameni isn't leaving Real Madrid. Which leaves us realistically with Baleba, Ederson, and Tonali (not even too realistic) as we search for 2-3 midfielders. I personally think we can do better than Ederson, but genuine question is, what other REALISTIC options do we have??
