I am disturbed by tonight’s report that the Supreme Court plans to overturn Roe v. Wade, thus abolishing 50 years of women’s rights. This devastating decision will lead to unsafe abortions and even more unwanted pregnancies.

The fight is not over for addressing the healthcare desert on Chicago's South Side and the southern suburbs. #MercyHospital is a staple of the South Side of Chicago. This was a step in the right direction, but there are more steps to follow.
