Spring officially begins Friday at 10:46 am with the Vernal Equinox. The Sun will be directly over the equator and daylight hours will be equal worldwide. Spring warmth greets the season, so enjoy. Keep in mind, even with the warm weekend, we're not done with freezes yet #kywx

After the wintry St. Patrick's Day, just a little something to help you feel more springy. Tuesday's daylight hours came in at 12 hours and 1 minute. This is the 1st time since September day has been longer than night. Spring officially begins on Friday, so there's that too #kywx

@MaryStewart01 I do know that parts of Jefferson County had a tornado warning, but I don't know about all of it

@BillMeck So some parts of Louisville got calls but Middletown didn’t? It is that accurate?

We got some comments/concerns last night that people weren't getting notified even when their county had tornado warnings. The great thing about the polygon warnings and how apps incorporate them is they're by geography. If your phone was not in the polygon, it stays quiet #kywx

It's been said many times, the littlest things can cause the biggest problems. In Lex, 1/2 to 3/4" of snow has caused massive problems. We did talk snow showers, slick roads, and black ice last night, but this amount of snow was not expected. 1 more snow burst this morning. #kywx

Weather Whiplash Part 2...Yesterday we saw highs in the 70s. This afternoon, we're running an astonishing 40 to almost 50 degrees colder than yesterday. By tomorrow morning, we'll see lows in the upper teens...again amazing. Snow Advisory in the SE and snow showers tonight #kywx
