@elonmusk In view of the $8 fee for a blue tick, do you intend that Twitter will cease verification of identity of those requesting a blue tick? There seems to be an uproar by people assuming that any fake person can show a blue tick without verification, simply pay $8/month

Paintings by my father William Thomas Williams on offer for the very first time. Goto eBay, search "Art by WTW". There can be no more; he died in 1995. #art #painting #watercolour

@lianamscott The basic premise of this book is WRONG. Many Aphantasians DO HAVE THE ABILITY to visualize images, they use it in dreams and day-dreaming. They simply DON'T USE THAT ABILITY during normal thinking, for reasons as yet unknown. Possibly they learned how to avoid its distraction.

@_aphantasia I am sick and tired of being asked to imagine a horse, here is one for the Phantasians: Imagine an Elephant GALLOPING.

@soundweebjay Aphantasia is a DIFFERENCE, not a Mental Illness, like being left-handed or right-handed. In general Aphantasians are better at solving Logical (non-visual) problems whereas Phantasians are better at Art.

@ThinkAphantasia Not true! Many Aphantasians can create visual imagery while dreaming or daydreaming. They have LEARNED how to think without using images.

@Reuters Even if that description is true, that is still Manslaughter for which you normally get several years prison time.

Family members of Daunte Wright rejected the notion that a mere accident was to blame for Sunday’s shooting in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, with Wright’s grieving brother denouncing the police as 'trigger happy' reut.rs/3uGrBc8

#Aphantasia Aphantasia is a difference, not a disability, yet many papers and discussions presume disability instead of a possible new skill. Phrases "Congenital Aphantasia" and "Blind Mind's-Eye" should never be used. This bias wrongly depresses many lifelong Aphantasians.

@Antoine68863316 @mathewi May be some genetic link, but not consistent. I am Aphantasian but my brothers seem not. I think it is something we learn while young (with language?) we learn to shut out distractions of visualization so that we can think more clearly about logical, non-visual problems.

Since the topic of "aphantasia" has come up -- that's a condition some people (including me) have that makes it impossible to form a mental picture of something, even a strong memory -- if anyone has any questions about this, fire away and I will try to answer them
