SB-23-14224 is approved. The Board of Estimates has adjourned. The Board will next meet Wednesday, Dec. 6th at 9am in City Hall.

The schools that will be impacted are Barclay PK-8 (PSC # 30.260), Liberty PK-5 (PSC # 30.135), Hazelwood K-8 (PSC # 30.189), Leith Walk PK-8 (PSC # 30.194) and Callaway Elementary (PSC # 30.257).

Never mind that Baltimore City has more vehicle crashes because it is a dense area, with many people driving in and driving out from different areas every day. But if someone commuting in from PA gets into a crash in 21201 - it affects the residents in that zip code.

Insurance companies look at the amount of crashes in zip codes and charge ratepayers based on where they live. So, in Baltimore City, which has a higher rate of crashes than Cecil County, individuals (even ones with perfect driving records) are charged more.
