After giving it a lot of thought this is my starting lineup for the CL final (Long read): 🔸️ Most of the 11 picks itself. Only conundrum in my mind was between Gyokeres and Havertz 🔸️ If Timber is even at 75% fitness, he starts over Mosquera 🔸️ With Trossard and Saka on the wings, Gyokeres CF makes the most sense. Them 3 also have an impeccable record when starting together - 12 wins, 1 draw, 0 losses. And against most teams I'd pick him but for PSG Havertz makes the most sense and here's why - 🔸️ PREMISE: 1 - PSG are the best attacking side in world football 2 - All their players are well rested and ready to outwork and outrun us physically, pressing us high from the get go 3 - They are so much better than every other team in the French league and most teams in the CL that they hardly ever have to defend deep for prolonged periods. Which means this is something they are NOT used to 🔸️ GAMEPLAN: - What we can't allow them is to have is complete domination in terms of ball possession. We dont have Timber (at least not at 100% fitness) which makes us much weaker defensively, especially against Kvicha - If they pin us back for too long, our player's legs will run out much before theirs & defending like we do also takes a mental toll - Kai Havertz helps mitigate a lot of these problems. His hold-up, link-up and duel winning qualities will help us maintain possession as well as territory and pin PSG back - Our attack wont be the most balanced but I'd rather have a starting 11 that can consistently pin PSG back so that we're not on the backfoot from the get go - And if we can manage that, then we'll be the ones controlling the game because as I mentioned in premise point 3, PSG aren't used to defending deep. This is where I'll need my dividends back from Eze, Calafiori and Trossard & maybe some bonus efforts from Havertz - There is a case for starting Øde to help us in these aspects even more but then we wont have our biggest X-factor player for the biggest game of the season. There are multiple ways to break the PSG man to man press and spring an attack. The best one is to beat your own man 1v1. With MLS and Eze we'll have 2 players in the centre of the pitch who can do that on the half turn. Not to mention Eze's ability to score a goal out of nowhere which you definitely need in a game like tomorrow - This setup imo gives us a better chance of winning than starting with Gyokeres for the profile balance in attack. Against most teams I'd have gone with the Swede. If his hold-up & link-up was about 30% better than his current level, then I'd have gone with too - But right now, he's best used as a finisher which in is also a very important role. A fresh Gyok coming on at 60' is always a menace for the opposition, especially if we've managed to tire them out beforehand. He can either come on to win it for us and/or give us that extra goal cushion so weren't not fighting for our lives at 90+ minutes 🔸️ I'd like to conclude by saying I'm feeling pretty confident. Believe we've got enough to win this. Let me know your thoughts below

Arsenal need —A ball-handling Trossard replacement, preferably one with his ballstriking ability. Semenyo/Kvara—that type. —A CF alternative to Kai Havertz who can receive in the middle and cause chaos, almost like prime Gabriel Jesus. This is because we already have players to stretch the space behind in Martinelli & Madueke so we don't really need a striker like Gyokeres. Morgan Rogers is one of the few players who fits both descriptions.

Top teams need a ball-heavy winger (Kvara, Grealish, Semenyo) and a touchline runner (Barcola, Martinelli) for each flank. Morgan Rogers fits the role for Arsenal. Powerful ball-carrying, ballstriking and impervious to physical contact—he is a top target & profile.
