The nose and upper respiratory tract contain billions of bacteria like staphylococcus aureus which poses a great risk to the surgical site. Risk of spread is even higher if you are talking during the surgery , as he was in the video. When you see surgeons cover their nose and mouth, they are not doing it for aesthetics . They are doing so to protect the patient. Cute Abiola being in the OR with his wife’s abdomen open and his nose and mouth open, put his wife in harm’s way. Moreover the position he was staying during the surgery is exclusively the position of an anesthesiologist . The anesthesiologist must stay at the head of the patient throughout the surgery. This ensures that any abnormal lapse in consciousness is spotted immediately and flagged for emergency response. So many things could have gone wrong by him taking over the position of the anesthesiologist just for views, clicks and social media awwww The surgical team should be arrested.
