Bills did themselves no favors releasing Johnson before June only saving $1.9M as opposed to the $8.6M they would have sVed after June.
However, they did right by Taron by allowing him to hitting the FA market early.

@caligula_legion There is no proper edge worth trading up for in this class.
This class should be about quantity over quality
All the edge room needs is a good pass rush OLB and there is a lot of them in FA.
Chubb, Phillips, Oweh, Mafe, Mack, etc. are all available

If this winds up being the Bills draft, I'd be happy. It's probably a mock I've made myself many a time. Love the pick of Zvada, too. That said, I am currently very much of the mind that the Bills need a scary-good playmaker on defense far, far, far(!) more than on offense. R Mason Thomas is that guy. R Mason Thomas is that prospect worth trading up for.
R Mason Thomas is this year's James Pearce Jr... without all the... ya know... baggage. And when we consider how much more explosive and efficient the offense became with the addition of (an old, Saints-discarded) Brandin Cooks, it becomes almost absurd to think that our first move in this draft would be to add a WR. Now, if we traded way, way, way, way up for Makai Lemon... ok. But no non-QB prospect is likely to produce at a level worthy of trading up the necessary 20-ish spots. And so... I want R Mason Thomas in Leonhard's defense more than I want KC Concepcion in Joe Brady's offense.
Just my two cents.
