@BillyBondsStand @whulegends_XI I am old enough to watch West Ham beat Sunderland 8-0 in 1968, still one of my favourite games. My hero at the time, Geoff Hurst, scored 6 ! 🙂

It was 56 years ago today that two of the Greatest England strikers - Hurst and Greaves - scored two goals each in a 5-1 win at Maine Road against @ManCity It was Jimmy Greaves debut for West Ham. Who can ever forget the brilliant goal from Ronnie Boyce - Joe Corrigan can't 😀⚒️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Morgan Amalfitano is celebrating his 41st birthday today. He played 32 games for West Ham scoring 3 goals between 2014-16. I was at West Brom for our FA Cup game in 2015 when he came on as sub for Kevin Nolan and then got sent off after two yellow cards. Very poor team performance that day ⚒️

Hammer of the Year in 1994, Trevor Morley is 65 today. Trevor came to West Ham in 1989 from @ManCity with his good mate Ian Bishop, as Mark Ward went the other way. Trevor would go on to score 70 goals in 215 games as he was promoted twice and relegated once in claret and blue⚒️

My Dad was born on this day 1930 he never played for West Ham but he loved watching them. His Dad was at the White Horse Final - not a big football fan but went because his mates did. My Dad first took me over Upton Park in 1964 and I started taking my sons in the 90's as did my Brother. Our Grandsons watch them at 'the Bowl'- 5 generations, it's in the blood. My Dad's favourite player was Bobby Moore ❤️⚒️
