Don’t get upset at WR investigating. They’re doing their job. This stuff needs to be taken seriously and due process followed. I highly expect that there’s a reasonable explanation for this. And it will all be bottomed out. But if he is found to have said what he is alleged to, then he’ll rightly face the appropriate sanctions.

I haven’t the foggiest about the rules in rugby, but I didn’t see one phoney, one diver, or one cheat in that Ireland v All Blacks game, all I saw was raw passion, sheer commitment, and honesty. I hope some of the modern day footballers all over the planet take heed 👍

Here’s a laws question. In the Aus vs Fiji game there was a late kick that nearly resulted in a 50/22. It had, in fact, bounced just outside. Aus then took a quick lineout from within their 22 and two passes later cleared to touch. Is that ball not carried back?

😲 Owen Farrell has been cleared to play immediately after the disciplinary panel rescinded his red card against Wales. Farrell acknowledged that whilst he had committed an act of foul play, he denied that the act was worthy of a red card. The Committee concluded that the Foul Play Review Officer was wrong, on the balance of probabilities, to upgrade the yellow card issued to the player to a red card. The Committee determined, when applying World Rugby’s Head Contact Process, that mitigation should be applied to the high degree of danger found by the Foul Play Review Officer. The Committee found that a late change in dynamics due to England #2’s interaction in the contact area brought about a sudden and significant change in direction from the ball carrier. In the Committee’s opinion, this mitigation was sufficient to bring the player’s act of foul play below the red car threshold.
