One of the most iconic brands debranded in 2011. Coca-Cola faced declining sales and launched the genius "Share a Coke" campaign, printing names on bottles to create a personal connection. Kiosks allowed custom names, boosting inclusivity and social sharing. Result? 500k photos shared, 1B impressions, and a 12.9B sales increase. Personalization and engagement turned the tide! #cocacola #Marketing #branding #ShareACoke #usergeneratedcontent #SalesBoost #BusinessStrategy #socialmedia

What strategic decision did Southwest Airlines make that was a game changer? In the early 70s, they chose to standardize their fleet with only Boeing 737s. Herb Kelleher, Co-founder and long-time CEO, believed simplicity was key to profitability. This decision led to remarkable cost and time savings in maintenance, training, and daily operations, allowing Southwest to maintain low operational costs and quick aircraft turnaround times. Lessons learned: 💡 Identify operational complexities. 💡 Simplification can revolutionize your industry. 💡 Efficiency leads to cost and time savings. 💡 Standardize processes for consistency. Despite industry challenges, Southwest reported 47 consecutive years of profitability from 1973 to 2019. 🤯

Toyota revolutionized manufacturing with their "Just-In-Time" system, inspired by supermarket stocking. They embraced holistic Kaizen, encouraged learning from mistakes, and used the Andon cord for real-time quality control. Their approach minimized waste, fostered strong supplier ties, and emphasized continuous improvement. Beyond profits, Toyota aligned their mission with societal well-being, set a standard for sustainability, and embodied agile, learning-oriented management. Look beyond your industry for inspiration and adapt wisely. 🚗💡 #Toyota #Innovation #Manufacturing

Imagine having x-ray vision into your customers' minds. That's the power of the empathy map! When you're reimagining any industry, understanding your customers' thoughts, feelings, and pain points is key. 1. Thoughts: Picture the gears turning in your customer's head. What are their hopes, dreams, and fears? 2. Feelings: Dive into the emotional whirlpool. What gets them excited, anxious, or happy? 3. Actions: Trace their steps. What do they do in the morning, or late at night? Where do they hang out online? 4. Pain Points: What keeps them up at night? What problems are they itching to solve? With an empathy map, you're equipped to create content that resonates with their need for convenience, inspires motivation through success stories, find them where they hang out, and create product designs that prioritize simplicity and effectiveness. Thoughts?

Do you know the Angry Birds story? 👇 The game maker behind it had 51 games before it that you've never heard of... A combination of work-for-hire projects, publishing contracts, and independently released titles! But they didn't give up.

Say what you want about Clubhouse, they did something every business can learn from... 👇 Yes, made (a lot) of missteps too but let’s keep this one positive: Anyone who was around in the early days remembers one thing about how they heard about the platform. A friend invited them. They used a Velvet Rope Strategy by creating a buzz of exclusivity. Seemingly overnight, they took the world by storm with its invite-only approach. They implemented barriers to entry that enhanced the value perception. When you add an element of exclusivity to your product or service, people who have it are proud of if and people who don’t have it, want it. You create DEMAND! Clubhouse engaged their initial users to drive adoption. Lessons: → Engage Early Adopters Deeply → Maintain Quality as You Expand They slowly opened up access to maintain quality while adapting to platform evolution and competition. Their goal was to maintain quality while expanding, and not rush to throw open the gates. Leverage exclusivity, engage with early adopters, and maintain quality as you grow. (remember, people want what they can't have!) Let me know your thoughts about this one!

What is the Cookie 🍪 Principle? I spent 4 days with friends at Lewis Howes event Summit of Greatness. We stayed at the DoubleTree hotel. The hotel was ok, but one thing stands out it. They have free warm cookies for their guests. I know. Earth-shattering. On the surface, it may seem like no big deal. So why have they been doing this since the 1980s? In a word... Experience. Yes, they are good cookies. But beyond that, they created an experience for us. On multiple since we joked about heading back to the hotel for a cookie break. 🍪 We took pictures with the cookie 🍪 We laughed about the cookie 🍪 We bonded while eating the cookies. 🍪 We had more fun...with the cookies! These delicious cookies have become a signature for the hotel and something people remember. While I'm sure they've debated if the cost of making the cookies is worth it it's clear they decided it is. No one has a bad time while eating a cookie. Unless it crumbles. 🤣 The 🍪 cookie principle is a reminder to find simple ways to create unforgettable moments in your customer experience journey. So, who's hungry for a 🍪?

This famous Toyota thought framework helped make them a powerhouse when it comes to problem-solving and innovation When I was a Tesla, we studied what Toyota did. Now Elon may not admit that, but it’s true. One of Toyota’s most famous frameworks is The "5 Whys" technique! They used this method to uncover the root cause of problems. They do it by asking "Why?" not once, not twice, but five times! To identify the problem they're facing, they ask "Why did this happen?" five times in a row. Each "Why" peels back the layers, like peeling an onion. It helps them dig deeper into the issue and reveal the underlying causes. Then Toyota is able to implement solutions at the root level. No band-aids; just real fixes. When this happen, Problems vanish and innovation flourishes! In business, don't just tackle symptoms; get to the root cause. And that's where true solutions lie! #Toyota #BusinessStrategy #BusinessGrowth

Blockbuster had a chance to buy Netflix for a mere $50 million. But they said no! Here's the story 👇 At its peak, Blockbuster had 9,000 stores globally and made $5.9 billion Today, the once-famous video rental company has shrunk to a single store in a small town. In business, you have to keep an eye on emerging industry trends. Blockbuster didn't take potential disruptors seriously. Lessons: → Evaluate partnerships or acquisitions that might change the game. → Be open to business model changes. → Listen to changing consumer habits and → It's not about protecting your turf; it's about evolving Worse than not buying Netflix, Blockbuster failed to pivot to digital. And ultimately they went bankrupt🤦‍♂️. Adapt or Die! Don't be a Blockbuster in the Netflix era! Whatchathink?
