Long time since I played vanilla Minecraft, got in the mood now. Started a hardcore world, no F3, no looking stuff up online. + a shader. Will probably die in some dumb way, but enjoying it so far. Feeling lots of nostalgia from working with terrain gen :)

@ibxtoycat The thing that bugs me is that people complain super heavily about a feature that they don't have to use. I am not saying that criticism is unwarranted but its just the whole sensationalism anti thing thats been going on over literally everything has grown tiresome

I think 1.9 to 1.11 was the sweet spot, where gliding was cool but without fireworks it could be just another form of transport, one that required building infrastructure

I've come around to the realization that Elytras are by and large one of the worst additions to Minecraft because they entirely eliminated a pillar of base building (especially on servers) by making literally every other transportation method redundant once you get one
