The first official map by BiomeForge launches tomorrow. It is not Hyperion, but it is a completely different and new experience designed to be played in short sessions and lots of fun. We will share more information tomorrow prior to launch and will host a launch live stream.

If we were to theoretically make multiple Chapters of the Hyperion lore, what frequency of new Chapters would you prefer?

At Pouring Pavilion, an odd permanent rain cloud looms over the town, covering your screen with a drape of watery cascades, to which they will dry off among entering a building. Coupled by soothing lo-fi beats and rain patter echoing the streets and alleyways.

Some months ago Hyperion was leaked and passed around as a "Chapter 7 leak" Since then we have evaluated our approach to the map's world building and storytelling after the map gained public attention, as well as the details. On top of dealing with UEFN issues that have prevented us from making reasonable progress. The level of detail the team is putting into this project goes as far as connecting every powerline to every POI, and to every location that generates electricity, to having a POI where it constantly rains and adds real water cascades to your screen, to having the windows and interior of every building light up at night from across the map to make the world truly feel lived in. Every day the team brainstorms new details and ideas that the average player may not ever truly notice, but to us it does, and our goal is to make an experience that builds its own world, characters, live events, and with the player itself over a long period of time. We will settle for nothing less than perfection within what UEFN allows us to.

Think this is the most effort I’ve seen put into a uefn battle royale map (at least that I’ve seen) this genuinely looks fucking amazing visually, I’m pretty excited to see what this is like when it’s released

While experimenting with the lighting in Hyperion, I discovered a beautiful scene in the town on our map. I really love the little details we've added, and continue to add, to the island to make it feel truly unique. #uefn #Fortnite
