Day 17 of our #AdventCalendar features Southern Hermit, an elusive butterfly found in North Africa and (only just) in parts of Spain, where it's a rarity. We're delighted that donations from our tours have helped fund surveys to establish the health of the Spanish population.

This is our kind of blue Monday for day 8 of our #AdventCalendar - four of the beautiful blue butterflies we see every August in Spain's marvellous Montes Universales. Shards of sunny joy to brighten any Monday in December. These are the memories we love to build with our guests.

For day 13 of our #AdventCalendar, with Christmas drawing closer, we've a butterfly with baubles on its wings. This gorgeous Apollo was seen high in the Pyrenees in the late afternoon when, cooling down, it was dozy and approachable.

An outstanding day here in the Montes Universales today was crowned with a tame and approachable Esper's Marbled White that, at one stage, shared Eryngium flowers with a False Grayling. 😍
