If you were exposed to #COVID19 on Christmas Day, you would be at your most infectious to people you encounter tomorrow on New Year’s Eve. This poses a serious risk of significant additional spread. #StayAtHome and stay safe.

This Twitter account will no longer exist after 31st Dec 2020. I'm tired and bored of it. I don't want to support this company. Thanks to the few of you that actually respect me, it means a lot. To those that know me and judge me, well, fuck you. It's been a blast. GOODBYE.

@BEACHYBIRDER @bonser_rich @BirdGuides No hate or bitterness of the Lammerguier from me. But I guess I am a logical thinker when it comes to these things and don't let my heart or personal preference get in the way. For me, it was the Zino's all day long, with White-chinned Petrel a very very close second.

@bonser_rich @BirdGuides So much bitterness for the Lammergeier. I have to say my mind was changed when I saw it, a majestic wild thing. If you’re going to tick Ruddy Ducks and Ring necked Parakeets etc, how long is a piece of string?

Rarity of the Year B&I 2020 Final. This is it then - a first for the Western Pal empidonax flycatcher, the first twitchable bushchat for 40 years, Britain's first kinglet and a bone crusher of a raptor. What'll win out? Please retweet as the more votes the better. @BirdGuides

@jarpartridge One of my worst years ever. Only have myself to blame, as I live in Dorshit and didn't go anywhere that gets flooded with rares. Bloody incredible list and well done buddy. Have a great 2021.

Dire situation in England now as oxygen runs low & hospitals fill up. Excess mortality from all causes will jump if people can’t get medical support. Please be cautious & stay within your household bubble. Avoid indoor gatherings, crowded places & travel.
Dr Rachel Clarke@doctor_oxford

So. We have - yet again - reached the desperate stage of Covid patients in such overwhelming numbers, hospitals are actually running out of oxygen. This is so very far from normal. PLEASE respect lockdown, mask up & wash your hands. Lives depend on it. independent.co.uk/news/health/co…

Russian White-fronted geese nr Silverlakes earlier today. Couldn't quite squeeze the 16th goose into the flight shots 🙄 Thanks @stevecarey33 for the shout.

@RareBirdAlertUK While shameful activity in Spain, 14 of the species on the Open Season quarry list in UK are Red or Amber listed Birds of Conservation Concern. They are shot in their tens of thousands every winter. Completely unsustainable.

How depressing Wild birds still being shot for fun in the 21st century and to add insult to injury the ignorant shooters can't even tell a thrush from a woodcock.

A couple of pics of the Russian White-fronted Geese at Silverlakes today. 16 still present, as was the Long-tailed Duck.
