For #WorldWaterRun 2026 I did a 10k sunset round at Sabkha Ariana, a seasonal wetland near #Tunis, which dries up in the summer and is a haven for hibernating migratory birds and flamingos in the winter. Endagered by urban development @RunBlueOfficial

@MichaelKugelman I hadn't happened for years, but not for a lack of trying. There were several atrempts sucj as the terrorist who blew himself up at a police check point in the outskirts. He was heading for the Red Zone. Terrorists have to be lucky only once, law enforcement always. Condolences.

Once again, terror has struck Islamabad in a way not seen for years. Major attacks on Shias, like today’s horrific blast, have been rare-much like the attack on the courthouse in Nov was the first time civilians were targeted in the capital in years.
