@AutisticFun01 I can assure you that even in the Italian fandom, Zexal was greatly criticized when it came out. Many detested Yuma and the fact that he wasn't a perfect dualist, like the three protagonists before him, and in general, the XYZ were also widely despised.

Zexal is weirdly liked in Italy compared to the rest of the non-japanese world. I'm yet to meet an Italian Yu-Gi-Oh player who hates it that much, it's usually not their favourite series but it's not nearly as detested as in the English speaking fandom.

This scene is LEGENDARY when it comes to Zexal fanservice. And it's the perfect representation of what good fanservice means: gratuitous, innocent, not at all explicit, and enticing. Don’t ask me how, but 14 years after it aired, Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL Easter eggs have suddenly appeared in Italian supermarkets. Over here, Yu-Gi-Oh basically only exists through the TCG now—it’s nearly impossible to find toys, gadgets, or anything not directly tied to the cards. The last thing I expected was to see Yu-Gi-Oh-branded Easter eggs… and even less that, out of all series, they’d be ZEXAL-themed! Anyway, I grabbed two. There’s no Kotori surprise inside, but honestly that doesn’t kill my hype. The fact that they’re ZEXAL is already a win—Kotori or not. #yugioh #yugioh_zexal #zexal

@NobiliRoccia L'ottimo doppiaggio è finito dopo il duello con Trey, quando hanno cominciato ad usare il doppiaggia 4kids come base. O meglio, doppiaggio ottimo come sempre, adattamento terribile, stravolto o monco. Vabbè; meglio 50 episodi che nemmeno uno, immagino.

I think it' s because it' s a VERY popular series between gen Z. It was very disliked by millenials at the time for not being the original series, but a lot of younger people watched this show on pubblic italian broadcasts like K2, and had a great italian dub as well.

@jetchfathoms @eb0nylover9000 In Italy, we were fortunate enough to have the third/fourth season of GX and the entire second half of 5DS dubbed directly from Japan. Unfortunately, with Zexal, we were only limited to the first segment of the series.

@Unlucky_NSFW Non le ho aperte. Comunque ho già visto quali sono le soprese. Sono pure segnalate sulla confezione. Ci sono diversi ciondoli con le facce di alcuni mostri e dei personaggi principali, e una decina di carte raffiguranti i mostri principali di Yuma, Shark e Kite.

Non è sicuramente la più dimenticata o la più strana. All'epoca veniva bollata come spazzatura, lo ricordo bene, ma a farlo erano solamente i nostalgici che non apprezzavano le nuove carte e un protagonista che non nasceva giù imparato come tutti gli altri. Con il tempo è stata molto rivalutata.

@inazuma_silver Sarebbe stato inaspettato qualunque prodotto a tema Yugioh, soprattutto in vendita al di fuori di negozi specializzati. E' andata di fortuna che tra tutte le serie abbiano scelto la migliore!
