Following the launch of the 'Birthgap' documentary series, which explores the reasons for the world’s collapsing birthrates, Birthgap.org continues to raise awareness about this pivotal global issue. 📉🌏 Unplanned Childlessness 👤 Over 90% of women under 35 either have children or express a desire to become a mother. Yet, in many countries today—including the UK, US, Japan, and much of the EU—fewer and fewer women are having the families they want to have. We call this "Unplanned Childlessness," and it is on track to affect at least one-quarter of all women across the industrialized world; and, now, far beyond. 'Birthgap' explores why it is that both women and men across the world are struggling to form families and have the children they want. Awareness 📣 We aim to empower individuals and couples to make the right decisions for their lives. This includes supporting the small percentage who choose not to have children. Whether people decide to have more children, have children earlier, or choose not to have any at all, our mission is to create an environment where everyone feels free and secure to pursue the relationships and families they desire—whatever form that takes. Sustainable future 📈🌱 We want to help countries develop sustainable strategies to address the socio-economic impacts of birthrate decline while supporting their citizens’ ambitions for education, careers, relationships, and family life. . And you also lost your retirement rights. That was the Romans trying to reverse birth rates and it clearly didn't work. None of these things, pure economic policies themselves did not work.”
